Re-release of Twin Flames (Sumeria's Sons, 1) #twinflames #SumeriasSons

Monday, I started working on getting Twin Flames back out on the market. The process is quickening up a little bit now that I'm becoming familiar with the process. (What a relief!)

The Books2Read link is a universal link for B&N. Kobo, Playster, Scribd, Angus & Robertson, Overdrive, Amazon, 24Symbols, Tolini, and Bibliotheca.

Smashwords required a short blurb as well as a long blurb, so I came up up with a catch phrase. I'm hoping I get better with coming up with those, too.

Oh, and it's only $3.99.

Buy Links: Smashwords |  iBooks Books2Read

What's on the Reading Radar?

What have I been up to. Writing the last chapters of Constant, though it not going as quickly as I wanted. I keep thinking of something I missed or forgot and going back and making changes.

I've been in a reading slump for most of the summer, only reading something new here and there. Lots of temporary DNFs because something isn't holding my attention or its not what I'm looking for in a story. Lots and lots of re-reading of my favorite series. But this week I stumbled across a new to me series from a new to me author. Loved it and then binged on the series. Now I'm back to looking for something to read... LOL!

Title: Gryphon's Pride
Series: (Gesa's Menagerie Book 1)
Author(s): Kaye Draper
Length: 133 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Reverse Harem Series / Bisexual /

Notes: I bought this in the spring and forgot I had it. I was looking for something to read and was flipping through my books when I and decided to give it a go. Then I read through it and the next book. Love Gesa who is barbarian-ish attracted to a short fae. It had a spot or two where it was serious but it was also FUN. I bought the rest of the series and binge read it all. Than then stalked the author, signing up for the newsletter, looked for their facebook page...

Blurb: Not your typical reverse harem…

Gryphon shifter Gesa Lionheart isn’t your typical heroine. Screwed over by her family—a stunningly medieval gryphon clan that is supposed to value loyalty and truth—the former bodyguard sets out on her own to a remote city growing in the Michigan wilderness. With little in the way of life skills outside her clan training, and no one to depend on, she becomes a bounty hunter—chasing down low-level supernatural criminals for the local human police department.

Gesa knew life would be hard outside the clan, but she had no way of predicting just how strange her life would become, all thanks to a beautiful but dangerous male fae and a simple missing person’s case. Now she’s over her head in a world that isn’t what it seems, where humans can almost see the truth, rich supe philanthropists make people disappear with ease, and harem lion prides aren’t just for males….

Gryphon’s Pride is a reverse harem romance novella with an urban fantasy feel. Suitable for mature readers (and those with a sense of humor) only. If swearing, sex, or talk of past trauma are offensive to you, this might not be your thing.

Author’s Note:
I was tired of reading the same old thing over and over again in reverse harem. Sick of all alpha male and fainting female all the time—and desperate to be able to tell the male characters apart—I tried to infuse some variety into my story. Gesa might not be your cup of tea, and that’s okay—she doesn’t care. Her lovers are as varied in physicality and personality as they are in supernatural race. And the characters all have their own definition of sexuality. I know reverse harem is all about the fantasy, and my fantasy is a bit outside the norm. You’ve been warned.

*Gesa’s Menagerie books are novellas of between 30,000-40,000 words.
*This is a series. There will be unresolved plot threads at times/ occasional cliff hangers.
*Do NOT read this series if you are easily offended. Contains: mentions of past trauma/rape, adult language (that’s cursing kids, lots of it), and sexual content (including male/female, male/male, female/female, male/male/female, female/female/male and any other combination you can think of. Oh, and probably some tentacles and diphallia).

Title: Obliteration
Series: Facets of Feyrie, 4
Author(s): Zoe Parker
Length: 176 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romantic Elements / Urban Fantasy /

Notes: I found this series in December and it was something I wouldn't typically read, but got sucked in, and I really loved it. So sad this is the last book of the series.

Blurb: The Dark wants vengeance...

A prophecy - that I have no faith in - unexpectedly brought me a home. Love. Family.

Now, the damn thing is trying to take it all away from me.
I refuse to let that happen! Fate can go eff itself.
They broke my heart, so I'm going to break their faces, and if I can't do it alone...

There's always Phobe.

This is the fourth and final book in the Facets of Feyrie series.

**Please be advised this book contains adult themes and situations.**

Title: Orc Haven
Series:
Author(s): Beryll & Osiris Backhaus
Length: 204 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romantic Elements / Epic Fantasy / Lesbian /

Notes: I was looking through the Rainbow Award submissions and came across this one. I have a huge soft spot for Orcs.

Blurb: The great war is over. The Dark Queen has fallen, slain by a dwarven champion as the prophecies foretold.

Still struggling with her transition from farmer's daughter to Hero of the Free Races, Irma barters her newfound fame for the power to change things for the betterment of all - including her former enemies.

With the Dark Queen's death, her subjugated orcs either succumbed to madness or were slain in battle. Only few orcs remain, and Irma has sworn to protect them, to help them find their place among the Free Races. One of them is Vash, a breeding mother from the pits, searching for a new home among the ruins of her old world with a tiny horde of orc children in tow.

When they meet, they discover that despite their differences in size, upbringing and race, they share the same hopes for the future. And while the odds they face seem overwhelming, the feelings growing between them may be strong enough to overcome them all.

From Rainbow-Award-winning authors Beryll and Osiris Brackhaus comes a sweet, happy f/f romantasy that begins where other epic fantasy novels end, a stand-alone novel about courage, hope, and the importance of family.

Title: The Prey of Gods
Series:
Author(s): Nicky Drayden
Length: 400 pages
Publisher: Harper Voyager (June 13, 2017)

Genre: Science Fiction

Notes: A group I'm a part of has a list of LGBTIAQ Multicultural BOMs and this is on it. I have seen this come up but kept putting it off because I seemed to have been in a book burn out--for months. But it's on audiobook so I'm going to give it a go.

Blurb: In South Africa, the future looks promising. Personal robots are making life easier for the working class. The government is harnessing renewable energy to provide infrastructure for the poor. And in the bustling coastal town of Port Elizabeth, the economy is booming thanks to the genetic engineering industry which has found a welcome home there. Yes—the days to come are looking very good for South Africans. That is, if they can survive the present challenges:

A new hallucinogenic drug sweeping the country . . .

An emerging AI uprising . . .

And an ancient demigoddess hellbent on regaining her former status by preying on the blood and sweat (but mostly blood) of every human she encounters.

It’s up to a young Zulu girl powerful enough to destroy her entire township, a queer teen plagued with the ability to control minds, a pop diva with serious daddy issues, and a politician with even more serious mommy issues to band together to ensure there’s a future left to worry about.

Fun and fantastic, Nicky Drayden takes her brilliance as a short story writer and weaves together an elaborate tale that will capture your heart . . . even as one particular demigoddess threatens to rip it out.

Title: Here Comes the Son
Series:
Author(s): Dahlia Donovan
Length: 308 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romance / Futuristic / Paranormal / Urban Fantasy / Gay

Notes:

Blurb: When evil stirs in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, heroes come in both ordinary and extraordinary packages.

Ignatius Faber knows a few things for absolute certain. He’s half-demon, his father is the unequivocal prince of darkness, and demons want to destroy his city. And if he doesn’t make the first move on his crush, they’re never going to be anything more than a teenage fantasy that’s lasted into his thirties.

Lalo Pavia grew up hard and fast, orphaned at a young age. As an autistic, he’s learned to approach life cautiously. He throws his energy into gardening and photography—allowing both to provide a buffer between himself and the rest of the world.

Except for Iggy.

Can they find triumph, life, and even love in the middle of a city in flames?

Their fight for the mile high city has just begun.

Striker Re-Release! #valespianpact #striker #alphatrine

Another book is going up!

Worked on getting Striker out yesterday. I spent the weekend giving it "one more" look through since it has been re-edited. Over the next 72 hours you will see Striker appear on the different vendor websites. So far, it is on Smashwords, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon. There are more sites to come as the days pass so the Books2Read link will automatically update.

I have had a lot of questions about the re-edits. Besides the grammar issues and the "that word does not mean what you think it means", I fixed inconsistencies and a plot hole. I made sure the terms used matched the re-edits I did for Alpha Trine last year. I also nixed some of the generalizations and expanded the look at characters/species/ideas. I fixed things that had been bothering me for years. There were conversations that did not have tags and I added thoughts and emotions to deepen those moments. All in all, 5k was added to Striker. But there are no new scenes, just strengthening of the story throughout.

Buy Links: Books2Read / Smashwords / Amazon /

Blurb:

The peaceful respite for which Zeus and his intended, Dargon and Alpha, had been hoping is shattered when Zeus is unexpectedly drawn to the Waters of Poseidon and told that the safety they've been promised is a trap. But the Fal'Amoric aren't the only important cargo on the Oethra 7, and countless others are depending on the success of their mission. If Zeus hopes to break the silent siege on Valespia and protect those most precious to him, he will need not just powerful allies but the fortitude to survive overwhelming odds.

**Striker is a 93k sci-fi romance that has mature themes and content as well as a polyamorous relationship. This 2nd edition has been re-edited and 5k words added to add clarity.

Thank you for stopping by and reading!!

Alpha Trine Re-release! #alphatrine #valespianpact

I'm working to get my titles back out on the market. First up is Alpha Trine. So far, you can find it at Smashwords, Kobo, and Amazon. Other places will have Alpha Trine on their sites in about 72 hours, and the links for those can all be accessed through the Books2Read universal link.

I had to create a short blurb for Smashwords... which I found I was quite terrible at coming up with a catchphrase. I wrote a ton of possibilities and filled up a sheet of paper. What I ended up with was... well, if I think of something better, yeah, I'm changing it. LOL! Now I have to come up with a catchphrase for all my books.

Buy Links: Smashwords / Books2Read / Amazon

Blurb: Has kidnapping Zeus ruined Dargon and Alpha's chance at love?

The sole survivor on a science vessel adrift in deep space, Zeus was adopted by the Emperor and Empress of the Mar'Sani, though he is both human and blind, and seen by most as unfit to join the royal family. Though they were able to repair his vision, Zeus does not trust his eyes, and the nobles of his parents' court refuse to ever trust a frail and treacherous human.

Dargon Kal-Turak, along with his symbiote and lover, Alpha, command one of the most dangerous ships in the stars. After narrowly escaping a trap, they dock in a space port to make repairs but find that the Psionics hunting them are closing in fast. In desperation they kidnap the port's master mechanic, unaware that the man they've brought on board is more than he seems and will bring far more upheaval to their ship, their lives, and the stars than any of them could have imagined.

**Alpha Trine is a 52k sci-fi romance. It was re-edited July 2018 and some concepts were expanded upon. Neither the plot nor characters were changed.

What is on the Reading Radar? #wishlist #TBR #reading

Another week gone. When you need time to slow down it speeds by with an evil cackle and rude gestures. It's been a busy week. Working on constant, getting my backlist back out on the market. Lots to do and no time to spare.

Title: The Devourers
Series:
Author(s): Indra Das
Length: 300 pages
Publisher: Del Rey (July 12, 2016)

Genre: Romantic Elements / Mystery /  Myths & Legends / Paranormal / LGBTIAQ / #TBR

Notes:

Blurb: On a cool evening in Kolkata, India, beneath a full moon, as the whirling rhythms of traveling musicians fill the night, college professor Alok encounters a mysterious stranger with a bizarre confession and an extraordinary story. Tantalized by the man’s unfinished tale, Alok will do anything to hear its completion. So Alok agrees, at the stranger’s behest, to transcribe a collection of battered notebooks, weathered parchments, and once-living skins.

From these documents spills the chronicle of a race of people at once more than human yet kin to beasts, ruled by instincts and desires blood-deep and ages-old. The tale features a rough wanderer in seventeenth-century Mughal India who finds himself irrevocably drawn to a defiant woman—and destined to be torn asunder by two clashing worlds. With every passing chapter of beauty and brutality, Alok’s interest in the stranger grows and evolves into something darker and more urgent.

Shifting dreamlike between present and past with intoxicating language, visceral action, compelling characters, and stark emotion, The Devourers offers a reading experience quite unlike any other novel.

Title: Prophecy of Convergence
Series: (Oracle's Path Book 1)
Author(s): Shannon Pemrick
Length:
Publisher:

Genre: Romantic Elements / Metaphysical Fantasy / Bisexual / #TBR

Notes: Love the cover and it is what made me stop and look, even though I could not make out the title. Authors who get flack from readers about the content add notes like she did... which is fine for me because it also tells me what is in it. LOL This releases August 15th

Blurb: The twisted dragon queen stirs…

Half-elf Oracle Aviana is no stranger to prophecies. With a strong connection since birth to the dragon god, Akorith, the dissonant whispers of fate have followed her from the beginning. And when an ominous warning foretelling of the destruction of her clan comes her way, she isn’t sure what to make of it.

Then when her younger sister needs to be prepared for her coming of age trial—a task that will test the woman’s fortitude and innocence—Aviana is the one tasked with showing her the world outside their secluded town. Her hands full with her sister’s childish nature, a foreboding prophecy is the last thing Aviana needs on her mind.

The signs of the prophecy, however, appear: pirate attacks, a fight with a dragon, and crossing paths with a cheerful dwarf and stunted, lecherous elf—and Aviana can’t ignore them. Things go from bad to worse, and she’ll have to trust her intuition and the most unlikely of allies to make it through, or the world will be plunged into chaos…

Readers who enjoy epic adventures, fantasy with a healthy dose of romance, and a strong heroine who defies all odds, won’t be able to put down Prophecy of Convergence, leaving you reading long into the night.

Buy Prophecy of Convergence and discover for yourself whether one determined Oracle can create her own fate, or whether she’ll be lost in the threads of prophecy…

-----
Note: Like all of Shannon Pemrick’s work, the Oracle’s Path series is NOT a clean read, or suited for younger audiences. This series isn’t for you if you enjoy your books free of strong language, violence, substance use, love scenes (including LGBTQ pairings), and other adult situations.

Title: Blood Cry

What's on the Reading Radar? #WishList #read

Another week has gone by and August, AUGUST is here. How is more than half the year is over? I'm not ready yet. There is so much I still need to accomplish this year. Ah, well. At least I can go and pilfer the dregs of the school supply sales! LOL!

Title: Sweep of the Blade
Series: (Innkeeper Chronicles Book 4)
Author: Ilona Andrews
Length: 314 pages
Publisher: NYLA (July 16, 2019)

Genre: Sci-Fi / Fantasy / Romantic Elements / Action & Adventure / #read

Notes: I didn't know this was out! This is the only book that I read this week and it was exactly what I was looking for. Lots and Lots of plot with a romance on the side. Loved the story and the characters. There were several full-page character renderings that I loved!!! This is one of my all time favorite series that I never get tired rereading. From their blog, the next book is a while off, but I can wait. The audiobook will be coming out in the next six weeks or so. It will be mine, too.

Blurb: Maud Demille is a daughter of Innkeepers—a special group who provide ‘lodging’ to other-planetary visitors—so she knows that a simple life isn't in the cards. But even Maud could never have anticipated what Fate would throw at her.

Once a wife to a powerful vampire knight, Maud and her young daughter, Helen, were exiled with him for his treachery to the desolate, savage planet of Karhari. Karhari killed her husband, and Maud—completely abandoned by his family—has spent over a year avenging his debts. Rescued by her sister Dina, she's sworn off all things vampire.

Except... In helping Dina save the world, she met Arland, the Marshal of House Krahr, one of the most powerful vampire houses. One thing led to another and he asked for her hand in marriage. She declined. Arland is not used to hearing the word ‘no;’ and try as she might, Maud can't just walk away from Arland. It doesn't help that being human is a lot harder for Maud than being a vampire.

To sort it all out, she accepts his invitation to visit his home planet. House Krahr is extremely influential and Maud knows that a woman—a human, with a very questionable past—who's turned down a proposal from its most beloved son won't get a warm reception. Maybe she’s not sure about marrying Arland, but House Krahr isn’t going to decide for her. Maud Demille has never run from a fight, and House Krahr will soon discover that there's a lot more to Maud than they’re expecting.

Length: 248 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romance / Dystopia / Fantasy / Mystery / Gay / #read

Notes: I love love love this book!

Blurb: The sparkling jewel of the Hidden Gem, City M’s most renowned brothel, Misaki “Aki” Ito is living the good life. He’s not subjected to torture for his psi abilities, he has a roof over his head, food to eat, and all the sparkly shoes he could dream about. He also has one particular regular he can’t get enough of, Shane McNaughton, even if Shane occasionally asks for Aki’s help on a case.

Shane is a cop specializing in missing persons. He’s good at finding people, not just because of his years as a seasoned detective, but because he survived the Third World War and resulting plague with a few supernatural abilities himself. Mutated by the virus that wiped out two thirds of the world’s population, Shane no longer considers himself human. Which is why he limits his visits to a very breakable psi companion when not working a case, no matter how much he might want Aki.

When a high ranking official’s daughter goes missing and feared dead, Shane has no choice but to ask Aki to use his abilities to help him track down the kidnapper. The case opens a door to a past Aki thought he had escaped. Will Shane’s love be enough to save them all when something dark is awakened inside of Aki?
