What's on the Reading Radar? #wishlist #TBR #reading

What have I been up to? EDITS. I swear they are not going away! This makes the second month of doing nothing but edits and it's slowly driving me bonkers.

Title: The Christmas Dragon's Mate
Series: Lonely Dragons Club,1
Author: Silvia Violet
Length:

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Shifters / Dragon's Fated Mates /

Notes: Dragons.... #want

Blurb: Best Surprise Ever: Going out to add to your Christmas hoard and finding your fated mate.

Laszlo
I’ve been longing to find my mate for over a thousand years. When I see him for the first time, he’s standing beneath sparkling glass ornaments, like a present waiting to be unwrapped. A present I intend to lay claim to.

If I can lure him back to my lair, I’ll shower him with so many gifts he’ll never want to leave. Bonded with my mate by Christmas? Yes, please.

Roman
I’m no good at flirting and have terrible luck with men, so when a gorgeous alpha says he wants to take me home, I’m shocked. And wary. My heat is about to start, and I’ve never shared it with anyone, so why do I suddenly want to say yes to this stranger?

There’s something unusual about him, the way his eyes shine, the odd phrases he keeps using. He says he wants to add me to his collection of beautiful things. I should be offended, but instead, I’m intrigued. Just this once, should I take a risk?

The Lonely Dragons Club is an MM dragon shifter mpreg series about finding your one true love. The next book is The Snow Dragon's Mate.

Title: Freeing the Dragon
Series: Immortal Lovers, 1
Author: Nicki Rowe
Length: 161 pages

Genre: Romance / Slow Burn / Paranormal / Futuristic / Post Apocalyptic / Poly / Shifters / Dragons /

Notes: #wishlist

Blurb: The Year is 2267. Cars hover and run solely on sunlight, implanted microchips are used for communication and to listen to music, people rely heavily on robots to provide basic duties, and holograms to provide entertainment. With the ever advancing technology it had become nearly impossible for the Supernatural beings to hide in the shadows.

Supes walk among the humans, but are not given the same rights and liberties as their human counterparts. While humans live in modern, beautiful buildings, Supes reside in squalor and filth. They have no access to well paying jobs or education. They have no dignity.

The United States has been torn apart after a devastating civil war; the north is a sanctuary for Supes, a land where they can get the same rights as any human, the same education, the same high paying jobs. But the south is a police state, ruled over by the rich humans and a government agency called WatchTower.

It's WatchTower's job to keep Supes in line, to make sure they follow the strict laws and don't harm humans. But when someone starts knocking off Supes one by one, WatchTower dispenses Unit 6482 to bring the killer to justice.

Following the death of their leader Felix Reese, 6482 is now being led by Dexter Williams, a man who is a legend among the WatchMen, but hates the name he has made for himself. As Dex leads his unit to finding the killer, he can't help but feel drawn to one of his subordinates, Angel de la Cruz, and a dragon shifter named Damon Vas.

Angel is small in size but takes pride in being a fierce WatchMan. He's known for his incredible knife skills, his loyalty, bravery and adaptability. But Angel has a secret, a fear that makes him feel weak and vulnerable. After meeting Dex and Damon, Angel knows he must get rid of the thing he fears if he wishes to have a future with the two men. But as Angel starts making the necessary changes in his life to claim Dex and Damon for his own all hell begins to break loose.

Damon is opposite of everything it means to be a dragon shifter. He is shy and naive, and falling for two WatchMen makes him just plain foolish, but there is something about the two men that pulls him in and he is helpless to stop it. Once he learns about a secret society that helps Supes, Damon must decide if he wants to join the fight and lose Dex and Angel, or keep his men and run as far away as he can.

After being in the wrong place at the wrong time, Damon is accused of being the Supe Killer and is thrown in jail. Dex, Angel and a small group of their friends work to prove Damon's innocence even though the cards are stacked against the dragon shifter.

When the team finds out who the real murderer is, they are shocked to discover there is more to the story than meets the eye. The killer is just a small cog in a very dark machine. Damon, Dex and Angel are about to discover that there is something even more sinister happening within WatchTower itself.

Freeing the Dragon is a slow burn MMM romance, intended for audiences 18+

Length: 244 pages

Genre: Romantic Elements / Paranormal / Shifters / Serial Killer / Mystery /

What's on the Reading Radar? #reading #TBR #WishList

Hello! This week went by so fast that I thought Thursday was Tuesday. Making a lot of decisions about my books that haven't gone back on the market yet, so I'll probably do a whole blog about that. Sometime. Definitely not this week. LOL

Title: The Twelfth Knight
Series: Guardians of Camelot
Author: Victoria Sue
Length: 232 pages; 7 hours and 26 minutes

Genre: Romance / Urban Fantasy / Myths and Legends / Gay

Notes: This is out on audio and I'm thinking about giving it a go. I would really like something fun and twisty, just without a lot of angst. But I might be deluding myself about the angst part.

Blurb: The evil is ancient…
…and weapons and magic won’t be enough.

They’ll need each other.

For 1500 years, Lancelot has fought for good, now facing an evil plot hatched by Morgana hundreds of years earlier, he can’t defeat her alone. He must find the other half of his soul, but there is just one problem, he doesn’t know where to look.

Whomever it is, he’s sure they live in New York City.

The clock ticks.

Time is not on his side.

Mel has struggled since his father died when he was only a child. He’s had to do anything to get by and it hasn’t been easy. When a strange Englishman reaches out to him, with a story beyond belief, he has a decision to make. Follow his heart and trust him or run?

Can Mel and Lance defeat the greatest enemy the world has ever known? Or in the midst of fighting evil, will they discover the real threat has always been a shattered heart?

And what if the one fight they cannot ever hope to win is with themselves?

You’ll love this new look at the Arthurian legends, because of the twists and the romance you didn’t expect.

Get it now.

Title: Midnight Stranger, Vol. 2
Series:
Author: Bohra Naono
Length: 194 pages

Notes: I read both volumes this week. At the end of this one I gave a squeak because of how it left concluded. It was a fun manga. The side story with Peri feels unfinished.

Blurb: Goat spirit Roi is in love with his master, the beautiful fire god Xiu. He knows he shouldn’t have those kinds of feelings and so is shocked when Xiu suddenly tells Roi he feels the same for him. Roi hopes that their peaceful everyday existence will continue undisturbed, but then he gets attacked by a demon. Genre: Romance / Fantasy / Gay

Notes: Reading this on Friday while I play hooky from work. :D

Title: Affiliations, Aliens, and Other Profitable Pursuits
Series: Claimings Series, Book 3
Author:
Length: 6 hrs and 56 mins

Notes: I've read this series up to this point. Listening to them on audio has been great but they go so fast. LOL

Blurb: A desire for status has brought Ondry and Liam to a human world to trade, but dealing with humans has brought up all the old pain in Liam's heart. Even though Ondry would do anything to protect his beloved palteia, he doesn't know how to protect Liam from himself. Worse, Ondry isn't sure how to shield Liam from the shifting politics on the Rownt ship where the Calti Grandmothers are nothing like the ones they left behind on the planet.

With everything in their lives changing, Ondry and Liam have only each other. If Ondry can't find a way to defend Liam from the ghosts of the past and overcome the impossibly short life span of a human, their small family might be over long before either of them is ready to let go. Ondry has always been a dominant and possessive Rownt, and with Liam in danger, those traits are necessary as he challenges the world to protect his lover.

Sumeria's Sons: All Most There #series #PNR #werewolves #fatedmates #dragons

I'm really close to having all of Sumeria's Sons back out in the world. I want to make some cheeky comment about it being like the college grad that comes home to live while finding their place in the world. Really not the right analogy, but like I said, I'm feeling cheeky this morning. :-D

Everything is out except Releasing Chaos. I'm reviewing the editor's edits and I'm hoping to have it done by mid next week. There is craziness around these parts! Just kidding, I'm a bit burned out with all the editing of Dreams of the Forgotten, Starting Fires, A New Beginning, Surrounded by Crimson, A Child's Wish, Dragon's Eye, and Constant (the upcoming new release for the Valespian Pact series). So much editing and this last week my brain has been trying to take an hiatus but I keep pushing because Releasing Chaos is the last of Sumeria's Sons that I need to get done and then I can switch focus, If only temporarily since I'm expecting Constant back in a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, here are all the links!

Titles: Twin Flames
Series: (Sumeria's Sons #1)
Genre: Gay / Urban Fantasy / Paranormal

A Lycan descendant of Gilgamesh and Enkidu, Tristan is not as extraordinary as his ancestors. He is an average warrior, unremarkable throughout. But this fact does not trouble him because he has found his Twin Flame, the one person destined to be his, who will love him unconditionally, life after life.

Then his Flame betrays him, leaving him shattered and dying. Brokenhearted, Tristan dissolves the sacred bond and leaves. His best friend, Ushna, accompanies him, vowing to guard and protect him, and Tristan slowly comes to realize that love does not require a sacred bond.

But if he hopes to keep the love he chooses, they will first have to survive ancient secrets, lies, mythical creatures, and the return of absent gods…

Note: Sumeria's Sons is a paranormal urban fantasy that slowly unveils the lost myths and legends of the modern day Lycan people. This series does eventually feature an mpreg relationship, but it is not the sole focus of the plot. This book was previously released by another publisher. Only light editing changes have been made to this book.

Title: A New Beginning
Series: (Sumeria's Sons Interlude,1) (Sumeria's Sons, 2.5)
Genre: Gay / Urban Fantasy / Paranormal / Free Read

Gregori and Juan have been dancing around each other since the fateful day when Juan gave his blood oath to Tristan Janick, and they were both swept up in the chaos that Tristan has brought to their worlds. But dangerous ghosts haunt Gregori and even the fierce, compelling Juan and the pull between them are not enough to override his desire to keep everyone safe by leaving the only place he wants to stay…

A New Beginning contains some explicit content. While Books 1 and 2 in the Sumeria's Son series (Twin Flames and Songs of the Earth) contain world building elements, those are not fully explored in this short story, it is largely standalone short story and can be read out of order with the rest of the series, though it is more satisfying if read as part of the series.

Title: Dreams of the Forgotten

Genre: Gay / Poly / Urban Fantasy / Paranormal

For Tristan and Ushna, nothing comes easy. With each passing day the challenges grow and the dangers multiply. The safe home they are building for their family and tribe is threatened from all sides, and the peace they seek is being torn apart by enemies and internal strife. Over it all hangs the knowledge that his time with Ushna is running out. Ushna already has a Flame awaiting rebirth, and though Tristan would die to protect that bond, he constantly struggles against his beast who demands they bind Ushna to their side.

Caught in the middle, Gregori must choose: the old flame or the promise of a new fire.

Title: Surrounded By Crimson
Series: (Sumeria's Sons, #4)
Genre: Gay / Urban Fantasy / Poly / Paranormal

Tristan has agreed to bond with Ushna, but there is still much to do. Returning to Tribe Enkidu puts everyone on edge, and Tristan is being stalked like prey. It doesn't help that he fights depression as he mourns the loss of Nikita, or that claiming his birthright becomes a battle of wills with the Elder Council. The pleading of his adoptive daughter only adds to the oppressive feeling.

Stumbling onto a secret prison while searching for Ushna leads Tristan to risk everything to free a lost God. But breaking the bond to his Twin Flame all those years ago has more repercussions than Tristan knew, and the assistance of a forgotten Goddess and a centuries-old lover may not be enough to save him.

Surrounded by Crimson is the 4th book in the Sumeria's Sons series and features a poly (M/M/M) relationship that includes male pregnancy (mpreg). This book was previously released by another publisher and has been re-edited.

Release Day! Dragon's Eye (Sumeria's Sons, 5) #newrelease #PNR #Werewolves #dragons

With the push to get through the 1st round of edits for another series, I neglected to make announcements for each Sumeria's Sons re-release. But I'm not missing today! Dragon's Eye has been re-released with some light edits. Nothing has changed, just addressed some typos and punctuation. Stuff like that.

If you haven't read my Sumeria's Sons series, you'll want to scroll down and start with Twin Flames. It is one of those series that builds and reveals with each book. This is a complete six book series that follows Tristan's awakening and discovery of his destiny.

I'm going through the edits for the last book, Releasing Chaos, and will have it out soon.

What is on the Reading Radar? #WishList TBR #reading #read

I missed last Saturday's Reading Radar. My niece was in town. I was pushing through editing. Went to the doctor's. And I completely forgot about the Radar. Sorry about that!

Here is today's list. Lots of fun reads.

Title: The Source of Magic
Series: (The Other Human Species 1)
Author: Clare Solomon
Length: 182 pages

Genre: Urban Fatnasy / Coming of Age / Gay

Notes: I came upon this because I clicked to look at the 3rd book in the series. (It had just released.) I'm not keen on young adults, but this first book in the series was on sale so I decided to give it a try. I've had good luck with new-to-me authors the last few weeks. I'm hoping this is another one.

Blurb: Two boys. Two forms of magic. One powerful combination.

When Elliot Rivers, a Homo Sapiens, becomes friends with Barve, a Nean (Neanderthal) on their first day at university he has no idea of the conflict and fury it will cause among the students and staff, as well as within his family. To make matters more difficult, Barve’s argumentative brother, Farlden, hates Elliot.

Elliot and Farlden both possess the rare gift of magic. The discovery that it becomes stronger when they combine their abilities creates a connection between them and, against their will, it draws them closer together, slowly changing animosity to something far more dangerous.

The Nean brothers are keeping an extraordinary secret, though, one that could shatter their complex relationships with Elliot and change all their lives.

Title: The Captain's Mate
Series: Blue Solace book 6
Author: CW GRay
Length: 235 pages

Genre: Romance / Sci-Fi / Audiobook / Gay

Notes: This such a fun, angst free series. #read

Blurb: Welcome back to Charybdis Station and the crew of the Blue Solace: (Sixth Book in the series)

Draif Ando started life as a slave on Vextonar. When he was fifteen, he met his best friend, Leti Ando, and life got a lot better. Now he's a Charybdis Station captain and works closely with the Lord Admiral of the Station. He is a free man, finally has a purpose of his own, and has the the best lieutenant in the galaxy by his side. If he's so content, why does he yearn for more, and why is he suddenly picturing children with his eyes and Lucas' ears and tail?

Lucas Meluth knew that Draif was his life mate from the moment they met. He also knew that Draif was demisexual and wasn't attracted to Lucas. Not at first. Now, Lucas notices the way Draif's eyes follow him and the way Draif's innocent touches are suddenly not so innocent. Has the time come for their friendship to turn into more?

Draif and Lucas may finally be figuring their relationship out, but their enemies are approaching and it's time to protect Charybdis Station and rid the galaxy of Humans First, once and for all.

Author's Note: 55,000 words. This is a sci-fi/fantasy, m/m love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There is lots of action, a little sex, mpreg, and a few potty mouths involved in the story. 18+ readers only, please. It is also the sixth book in a series that is best read in order. Read "The Mercenary's Mate," "The General's Mate," "The Soldier's Mate," "The Lieutenant's Mate," and "The Engineer's Mate" first!

Title: Beth's Stable
Series: (Stolen by an Alien Book 6)
Author: Amanda Milo
Length: 376 pages

Genre: Romance / Sci-Fi / RH / MFMMMMM

Notes: #read This was pretty fun. Pirates and more pirates. Ekan reminded of a Loki character and he was such a blast because I didn't know what he was going to do next.

Blurb: They say that in space, no one can hear you...(Yeah, you know what I'm quoting.)

But there are lots of places you can still scream and be heard. Especially if you suddenly find yourself on a ship traveling through space.I’ve been abducted by aliens and auctioned to an alien pirate.

My epic love of movies sort of comes in handy, what with all the sci-fi suddenly in my face. Therefore, I don’t completely lose my mind when my new owner takes me to his ship where I learn I’m under the control of not one, but *five* space pirates.

(...And it’s not scary at all when I only meet four of them, and everyone warns me away from the mystery fifth alien.)

Luckily, they’re not deterred by the fact that I've come to them carrying a passenger.

I’m pregnant.

Last I saw my ex, he was hell-bent on giving me another beating I wouldn’t forget. But with my new 'owners,' I’m safe for the first time in a long time--and so is my little girl. Not that everything is all raindrops on roses, and innocent kittens: they’re pirates. They’ve got a real addiction to plundering, and a passion for purloining.

I’m pretty fond of the former, but when it comes to the thieving, I’m afraid they’re going to take more than my body.
...Piece by piece, all five of my pirates are stealing my *heart.*

Beth’s Stable is 125K words, and has a HEA with hot pirates.

**Note: Beth’s Stable is a standalone Reverse Harem romance where five men woo one woman. They’re space pirates, but there are no crossed energy sabers in this story. There is a Happily Ever After. You should probably be at least 18 if you crack open this ebook because Beth would hate to corrupt you. (Although if her pirates had met you before they grew completely, totally devoted to her, they would have loved showing you the ropes. Sorry, doves! ;D

Notes: #reading

Blurb: I was abducted by aliens. The aliens that I've been auctioned to don’t speak my language, and I definitely can’t speak theirs.
I didn’t expect to get married by accident to the sweet one.
I didn’t expect to have a grumpy alien bond to me, and go a little crazy if other males get near me, or if I try to leave.
It doesn’t matter if they’ve won my heart.
I can’t stay.
Somehow, I have to explain that I NEED to go home. Because the bad aliens that abducted me?
They took me from my babies.

**Note:
For those of you that prefer not to be surprised, there are TWO heroes in this story. It is a Happily Ever After with three people, a mini Reverse Harem set up of MFM (male/female/male) that doesn't quite classify as Menage... and you'll find out why. ♥
For those of you who DO prefer to be surprised… pretend you didn’t read this warning! ;)

This is Tara's Story. It technically *can* be read as a stand-alone, however, previous books in the series set up events in this book.

Title: Just This Once
Series: (Just Us Book 1)
Author: Roxanne Riley
Length: 62 pages

Genre: Romance / MMF / Bisexual / Poly / Contemporary

Notes: I'm reading this for a reading group. I didn't realize that it was so short until now. #reading

Blurb: Two men at the same time. Just this once. Right?

Love doesn’t come easily for Lacey anymore. Ever since long-distance romance tore her away from her high school sweetheart, Adam, she’s faced nothing but heartbreak.

Still recovering from the latest in a string of terrible relationships, Lacey pays a visit to her best friend. Dragged out to Ecstasia, a nightclub that turns out to be more than it seems, she’s shocked when she runs into the ghost that’s haunted her all these years… and his fiancé, Dante.

Adam and Dante were out at Ecstasia to fulfill a mutual bisexual fantasy of theirs: to share a beautiful woman, just for a night. When they run into Lacey, Dante can’t keep his eyes off her beautiful curves. When he suggests they cast her in the part of their fantasy girl, Adam can’t help himself, because he remembers just how sweet she tastes.

Both men want to share Lacey, while enjoying their love the way they always do at the same time. She wants to bask in all the pleasure they have to offer her, and each other. She figures why not give in to their little experimental fling idea, and bring herself some happiness again, too? Things might get complicated though, with ties that run so deep.

Will this old flame start a raging fire that can’t be contained by any of the three of them?

Just This Once is a bisexual menage romance with high heat MM and MFM scenes (swords do cross in this one!). It has no cliffhangers and no cheating but it does have a very happy ever after and lots of steam.

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Sea Shifters /

Notes: #reading

Dover spends his days secluded in his creek, successfully avoiding the King’s court and all the judgmental nobles there. Then, the most wonderous and horrible thing happens. He hears the mating call and knows his alpha is waiting for him.

Ben Elliot is just a human trying to get by in a small tourist beach town. He has his art and a few good friends, and that should be enough, right? Wrong. Coming home to a quiet house and an empty bed starts to wear on him, but none of the omegas he knows appeal to him. Until a storm knocks him off his fishing boat and he’s rescued by a mysterious, blue-haired omega.

Together, Dover and Ben forge a bond strong enough to stand against the storm of corrupt lords, court politics, and a cursed king.

Author's Note: Around 47,000 words. This is a paranormal, merman, mpreg insta-love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There are a few potty mouths, so beware. 18+ readers only, please. It is book one in The Silver Isles series.

What's on the Reading Radar? #reading #wishlist #TBR

What have I been up to this week? Well, reviewing edits on Surrounded by Crimson and Dragon's Eye. They are set up for pre-order through Smashwords. I also got the 1st round of edits back for Constant... So, yep, more edits.

But I've been reading A Lot. Usually, I mostly listen to audiobooks so that I can crochet, but I'm in between projects, so I am tackling books that were on the TBR but not audio.

Title: Stalked by Shadows
Series: (A Simply Crafty Paranormal Mystery Book 1)
Author: Lissa Casey
Length: 346 page

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Things that Go Bump in the Night / Gay /

Notes: It's Friday as I create this blog post and I'm about 40% through this book. I LOVE it. I have work to do today and I'm really tempted to abandon it all so I can go back to reading. :D EDIT: It is Saturday morning. I finished the book in the early a.m. and loved it. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Blurb: A missing girl, ritual murders, and a shadow stalking every footstep.

Alexis Caine survived an attack in the deserts of Afghanistan. An attack the government denied and discharged him for, leaving him broken and in a mental institution. What Alex saw that day in the desert continues to haunt him.

When a new job working as a bodyguard for a New Orleans ghost tour guide, Micah Richards, opens Alex’s eyes to a world of paranormal possibilities, he’s not sure he can believe his eyes. What if he’s not crazy after all? When a ritual murder in which two fellow tour guides die and a tourist vanishes, Alex wonders if he brought a curse down upon them all.

A shadow from the desert rears its nightmarish head offering Alex something he wants more than anything, but at what cost?

Title: Queen Take Camelot
Series: Their Vampire Queen, 10
Author: Joely Sue Burkhart
Length:

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Vampires / Myths & Legends /

Notes: Gwen is not my favorite queen. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike her and I enjoyed her story, but she is not Shara. She wasn't meant to be like Shara, and I understand that. She is a minor queen and part of the foundation Shara has set down, so she's important. But I have thoughts on other things in this story that will probably encourage me to write a review. I still enjoyed the story though it felt unfinished which could mean there will be more about Gwen and her knights later.

Blurb: The Once and Future King has always been my curse.

You think King Arthur is a hero.
You blame me for the fall of Camelot.
Because I refused to choose.

Yes, I loved Lancelot. Once upon a time, I loved Arthur, too. I loved all of his friends, even Merlin, the cantankerous wizard.

But Arthur’s jealousy destroyed our love. He smashed the Round Table, banished Lancelot, and locked me in a burning tower. He would rather see me dead than love another man. Even his best friend.

So now I’m doomed to repeat this grim tale over and over until Arthur wins my love. But this vampire queen will never choose Arthur. Not after what he’s done. I will certainly never choose him over Lancelot.

I will never settle for just one knight. Not when I can have them all.

Oh, and this time? Arthur will be the Once and Dead King, because Camelot is mine.

This expanded version contains both Queen Takes Camelot & Queen Takes Avalon!

Title: Perfect Pride
Series: Gesa's Menagerie, 9
Author: Kaye Draper
Length: 116 pages

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Urban Fantasy / Poly / Bisexual /

Notes: I was about half way through book 7 and I paused because I had caught up with the binge read and wanted to wait for books 7 and 8. Things were getting hairy and I didn't want to wait at the end of 7 for the last two. My schedule got crazy so I didn't get back to this series until this week. Then I blitz read through them all. Great series with a lot of action. I would love to read other stories in this universe. There is still a lot of mystery around side characters that I wouldn't mind delving into. :D

Blurb: The final book in the sexy, snarky, no-holds-barred Gesa's Menagerie series!

Gesa just wanted to finally settle down for some damned peace and quiet with her pride. But of course her kraken has decided to go off looking for long-lost family...and now the ancient sea monster has fallen into the clutches of the sirens.

Once she gets Kai back home, Gesa is going to ban the pride from leaving the house. Permanently. Krakens attack, gryphons rampage, demons plot, and all the monsters finally find a home.

This is the last book in the main series, with a spin-off planned at a later date.

Title: Fourth Point of Contact
Series: (Legends of Lobe den Herren Book 1)
Author: AJ Sherwood
Length: 355 pages

Genre: Romance / Fantasy / Gay / Demisexual /

Notes: I have finished my binge reading of AJ Sherwood. Loved it all. Want more. I sound like a zombie.

Blurb: Not once in the past five years has Castle Warden Sho Renjimantoro regretted following his best friend to Aart. How can he regret it when he finds open acceptance regarding his sexuality from everyone around him (even if they don’t understand it), and he gets to be with the man most important to him?

No, finding someone in this country is a fantasy best forgotten.

General Arman Brahms, finally home from deployment, has waited over two years to show Ren he's wrong, that fantasies can come true. Unfortunately, his plans get put on hold to help Ren solve the crisis unfolding in the castle.

Someone is doing their level best to make sure the engagement of Prince Charles and Princess Alexandria of Scovia falls through—by fair means or foul. In addition, they’re trying to make Ren deemed incompetent and dismissed from his position. And along the way, prove that even an ordinary life can become extraordinary.

Title: Consorts of the Red King
Series:
Author: Eden Winters
Length: 364 pages

Genre: Romance / Sci-Fi / Poly / Gay /

Notes: #wishlist

Blurb: In deepest space the ruthless Federation lays waste to one rebel colony after another, leaving comrades-in-arms Van Orskey and Tayn Kassik without family, without a home, and without hope.

With nothing left but each other, they run contraband and smuggle fugitives from the safety of their ship, the Cormorant—with the occasional clandestine mission for the rival Coalition thrown in. Their heists have not gone unnoticed, though even the bounty on their heads doesn’t prevent them from being a thorn in the enemy’s side at every opportunity.

Pissing them off? Big mistake.

From the day of his birth Prince Jorvik of Akiak learned duty, wisdom, and honor from his father, leaving him ill-equipped to withstand betrayal by his Federation-puppet uncle. He has no love for the greedy off-worlders who plunder his world’s natural resources and enslave his people. To defeat his foe, he needs the cunning, fearlessness, and touch of treachery only outlaws can offer.

Two off-world mercenaries make unlikely partners in Jorvik’s quest for vengeance, but the more he learns of them, the more common ground he discovers. In each other’s arms they find passion, heat, and maybe, a reason for living—until their common enemy threatens to tear them apart.

To survive, they must take on the corrupt Federation.

And win.

A standalone novel based in The Sentinel universe.
