The battle to protect the Lycans from a vindictive Goddess waits on the horizon.

Tristan, Ushna, and Brian have meticulously prepared for the day they face Inanna and Marduk, but they must rely on their inner circle if they are to win the day. Ushna needs to embrace his destiny and be transformed by Tiamat. But he returns with a mind fractured by a primordial god’s consciousness and needs a firebird’s help, or he’ll be lost. If he is, so too is the balance Brian and Tristan sorely need.

Tristan has vowed to care for his ex-Flame who is doomed to forget more and more with each use of his new ability. Adding to his burden, Tristan must free the warriors stolen by the government and devise a trap for Inanna.

Brian fears nothing more than losing Ushna and Tristan again. To prevent that fate, he recklessly devises a preemptive strike, but his actions might not only cost him his life, but Stan’s as well.

As for the inner circle…

With them, Tristan might be victorious. Without them, Tristan will fail and the Lycans will fall to Inanna, who is determined to release a long-forgotten chaos monster and bring about the end of the world.

In nine days' time, Tristan will birth the heirs of the Seat of Zeev and life couldn't be more hectic or dangerous for him and Ushna.

Tristan has agreed to bond with Ushna, but there is still much to do. Returning to Tribe Enkidu puts everyone on edge, and Tristan is being stalked like prey. It doesn't help that he fights depression as he mourns the loss of Nikita, or that claiming his birthright becomes a battle of wills with the Elder Council. The pleading of his adoptive daughter only adds to the oppressive feeling.

Stumbling onto a secret prison while searching for Ushna leads Tristan to risk everything to free a lost God. But breaking the bond to his Twin Flame all those years ago has more repercussions than Tristan knew, and the assistance of a forgotten Goddess and a centuries-old lover may not be enough to save him.

Sumeria's Sons Re-branding #SumeriasSons

For a while now I have been planning and working with Natasha Snow on new covers for my Sumeria's Sons' series. Twin Flames was my first published book and holds a special place in my heart. From this story, I grew into the author I am today. The last book for the series came out a couple of years ago (Yay! I completed the series!),  and I wanted to give the series a face-lift. It's been on my mind since I've been plotting Nathan's story.

The second part of my plan is to pull the series off the market for a short period of time. I'm having the books reformatted and the Sumeria's Sons Interludes included in the back of the appropriate books. (For those of you who already own Sumeria's Sons and Sumeria's Sons Interludes, no new words were added. The books are exactly the same.) Once all the formatting has been completed and the paperback files are ready, Sumeria's Sons will go up on Kindle Unlimited.

I'm making this decision for several reasons, one of them is to enable new-to-the-series readers to discover Tristan and his guys.

But before this all rolls out, I would like to say a few words about the series' existing covers. London Burden created the dynamic covers for the first five books and Kirby Crow did a great job matching the style for book six. I love these covers so hard. They are beautiful and represent each story fantastically. London's artwork is fantastic and I will always be grateful and humbled that I got to have her style on my book covers. <3 <3

This week will be the last week you can buy the books with these covers. The series will start coming down as of Saturday, August 8th. It will also be the last week you can buy Sumeria' Sons through a non-Amazon seller. Entering the series in Kindle Unlimited means the series will be exclusive to Amazon.

And that is the news for the changes planned for Sumeria's Sons. I'm excited that I'll be able to share the new covers soon. I can never hold a surprise for long. LOL!

Unshakable Series Going To Paperback, Giveaway

The Unshakable Series started out with a story prompt. (Y'all know how I love those.) Playing For Keeps was born and AJ, Brock, and Trent came alive in my head.

In November of 2014, Keeping Faith was released right after my father passed away. Because of the timing, I didn't do as much self-promotion as I normally would.

Now, on April 17th the paperback combining both Playing For Keeps and Keeping Faith will be released in one volume.

To celebrate the release, I'm giving away 3 paperbacks. You can enter the giveaway until April 24th. The winner announcement will be made on April 25th. Good Luck!!

Playing For Keeps Blurb:

College running back, Trent Harte, has been living with his lovers, AJ Barnes and Brock Everett, for two years. Caught in a compromising position, rumors abound. It's hard enough to be an openly gay football player, but gossip and snide comments only add to his stress. Threats against his partners causes Trent to wonder if he should step back from the relationship.

AJ and Brock know there is something wrong when Trent begins to pull away. A call from Trent's father only adds to his distress. AJ and Brock refuse to let him shoulder the responsibility alone and they call for help. Will Trent find the strength to withstand the pressure and hold on to those he loves? Or will AJ and Brock be too late to convince Trent that they are playing for keeps?

Keeping Faith Blurb:

Several months after Trent Harte was drafted into the NFL, he, AJ Barnes, and Brock Everette are settling into their new home in Miami. Christmas is approaching and they are excited to share another holiday season with each other. Unbeknownst to them, William Harte, Trent's estranged father double-crossed a deadly adversary and then disappeared. To draw William out of hiding, Trent becomes a target. In a horrible twist of fate, the kidnappers grab Brock instead leaving AJ and Trent scrambling to find a way get Brock back. Detectives believe Trent is responsible, and with each passing hour the likelihood of Brock returning home alive dwindles.

Brock traded his safety to ensure his lovers were out of harm's way. He would do it again even knowing he'd end up captured and restrained in a part of town that no one in their right mind would willingly go. The kidnappers are terrifying, but Brock is a fighter, holding onto hope with both hands. He must decide to either wait to be rescued or find a way to escape. Stuck between the wills of a ruthless assassin and an insane mob thug, something needs to happen soon or he'll never see Trent and AJ again.

Blurb:

For Tristan and Ushna, nothing comes easy and with each passing day the challenges grow and the dangers multiply. The safe home they are building for their family and tribe is threatened from all sides, and the peace they seek is being torn apart by enemies and internal strife. Tristan dares not reveal his condition to any but those closest to him, all the while he's plagued by dreams he cannot remember upon waking...

And over all of it hangs the knowledge that his time with Ushna is running out. Because Ushna already has a Flame awaiting rebirth, and though Tristan would die to protect that bond, he constantly struggles against his beast who demands they bind Ushna to their side.

Excerpt:

I woke up with a jolting start, hands clutching at someone, something that wasn't there. My heart pounded like a drum in my chest.

A dream.

It was only a dream, and the images faded fast. Groggily, I tried to catch it and bring it back, as I struggled to remember. It was important. There was something I wasn't supposed to forget, something I needed to do. I nearly growled in frustration as the contents of the dream, like smoke, drifted away from me until all I remembered were a pair of piercing blue eyes, hopeful and pleading.

I scrubbed my hands over my face in frustration. These dreams plagued me every time I closed my eyes. Always I woke with a sense of urgency but recalled nothing when the fuzziness of sleep cleared. If I only remembered, maybe I could do something, but as it was, I woke frustrated and saddened.

Some mornings the sense of loss was so overwhelming I hid from Ushna until the mood subsided. I didn't know how to explain why I was so affected by my dreams. On the mornings I needed to conceal myself, I’d sit in my dark office. The sorrow was so strong it seemed as if my chest had been cracked open. I prayed he would never see me in those minutes of consuming grief. What could I say to make him understand when I couldn't comprehend it myself?

This time, I had awakened with the impression of a task incomplete. Not with enough sadness to steal my breath but with a purpose. I had something more; it was only names my mind seemed to pluck out of the air but it was somewhere to start. I needed answers, and I had a hunch they were to be found with these new clues from my dream; Angelo Giannis and Nikita Minoas. I didn't know who they were but given time I’d find out.

The sun hadn't yet breached the horizon. I lay in bed, warm and cozy next to Ushna, and listened to the soft inhalations of his breathing while I stared at his beautiful, masculine face. Long, dark eyelashes brushed the tops of his cheeks, lips pink and slightly pouty in rest, his blue-black hair sweeping across his brow and getting caught in the dark stubble along his cheek. His sun-darkened skin glowed vibrantly even in sleep.

Dreams aside, I loved waking up before Ushna so I could watch the sun paint the face of my consort with the colors of dawn. I’d listen to his breathing and watch his chest rise and fall, making the iridescent scales of his albino caduceus appear as liquid silver. Being with him in moments like these, I knew where I was supposed to be.

Much had happened in the three months since I’d found out that I wasn't only Lycan royalty but the last and only prince of the Enkidu bloodline. This jolting revelation had changed my life forever. I went from being an insignificant alpha with a tribe of two to having one of the fastest growing tribes with the largest contingent of Lycan warriors outside of the hearth tribe back home in Georgia.

Changes were being made to our ranch as a part of the infrastructure before Ushna and I stepped from the shadows and revealed our identities to all Lycans as the royal couple, and me as the future king. Having security in place before going public with the announcement was imperative because assassins had murdered those who came before me. Recent events with the Magi College made us question who to trust, especially after Caspian MacCuill, a member of the governing Magi Triad, attempted to kidnap Ushna, as well as our childhood friend and Magi, Gregori Borchetta.

If I only had myself to care for, I would disappear. But I had Ushna and now our children to watch over and protect. Our people needed us, and I couldn't find it within myself to abandon them. Even though there were dangers to both of us and the family we planned to have, if we backed down—if we left and acquiesced to our safety—our race would not survive the forces striving to destroy us.

Even with my firm resolve, I worried about my ability to protect Ushna. He believed it was his job to protect me, but shouldn't it go both ways? There were forces that would harm him for associating with me. They’d murder him if they knew he was my husband.

I stroked my hand down over my large, swollen stomach. Nine weeks into my sixteen week pregnancy, and I was already huge. I was no longer the last of my line, and once the assassins found out, my life would be more dangerous than it had ever been.

Running fingertips over the swell of Ushna's chest, I rested my palm over his heart. He moved under my hand, moaning deliciously. I studied his sun-bronzed features and his solid muscular planes, shaped by hard work. There were moments when I was amazed he loved me. Only me. The knowledge humbled me even as it strengthened me.

Blog Tour: The Protector by Jessie G, Excerpt & Giveaway

The Protector Final - 700H

The Protector Sizzling Miami #3 by Jessie G.

GGR-LB Blurb

There was a time when Master Saul Alvarez filled his days fighting and his nights teaching willing subs the pleasure of his whip. His compassionate understanding of the masochist mind makes him the most sought after professional sadist in the Miami BDSM community. Neither role invites long term relationships, but he’s comfortable with his solitary existence until he is charged with guarding Durango’s prized whore. One look into those terror filled eyes has him vowing to risk it all to save the beautiful man. Javier Escardo had been praying for death, but never expected the stone cold killer he got in response. One glimpse into those sinful eyes reveals not only the promise of retribution, but a reason to live. Eight years later, free and mostly sane, Javier is determined to take what belongs to him. Saul’s heart. Through hell and back, through layers of pain and shifting realities, that one truth has remained firm. His protector needs saving and he can’t do it alone. Hidden beneath the public persona, Kyle Jensen is a man who craves to be invisible without being insignificant. He longs to find a Master who will see his need to be taken over without abusing him and a lover who will care about him beyond the sexual games. It isn’t until he encounters the smoldering combination of Saul and Javier that he realizes it was never supposed to be just one partner at all. Can two battered hearts be mended by the love of a third? Kyle becomes the light to their darkness, and he’s willing to risk his heart for theirs, but when the past threatens Saul, will Javier’s sacrifice destroy them all?

Author’s Note: The Protector deals with issues of sexual abuse and forced prostitution. While these acts are not detailed on the page, there are many references to them and the ongoing fight to heal and overcome. This book should not be read by anyone who would be adversely affected by these references.

Like many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I'd begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: To be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it's a job. The more you write, the easier it will be to write and the better you will be at writing. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With two published books and counting, it's been amazing to have made this dream my reality.

I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics and happily ever after. I'm a lover of strong secondary characters and series filled with families, biological or chosen. All are themes you'll find throughout my books.

GGR-LB Excerpt

If he had to look in those concerned eyes one more second he was going to lose his shit and he didn’t even know why. What he needed to do was get the ball rolling on their forty-eight hour fuck-fest. The clock was ticking and he refused to waste another second pondering things best left un-pondered. “So what’s the prize?”

“The prize?” Damn but Javier was cute with his nose wrinkled in confusion. Kyle couldn’t resist leaning in and rubbing his own against it, causing Javier to giggle. There it was again, boy on the cusp of discovery.

“For the winner of tongue tag, there’s got to be a prize.” Kyle pretended to think about it and rocked back against Saul, willing him into the game. “I know!”

Vibrating with anticipation, Javier pressed in close along his front, rubbing their cocks together and begged, “Tell me!”

And to think, Javier had called him adorable. “Winner gets to ride his cock.”

Saul rocked him forward and he could feel Javier automatically respond. Just like that they were one fluid movement, now if only Javier were willing to roll over and offer up his ass they could be one fluid fuck chain. Though he was content to be the bottom, Kyle just knew being the guy in the middle of Saul and Javier...in this position...was going to rock his world. The whole staged mΓ©nage to get the right camera angle usually included a test of his dexterity and rarely came with a satisfying orgasm. This right here, the leisurely seductive rocking felt so intimate and….damn! Focus, he needed to focus on the moment and store that thought away for the future.

“Well then what’s the loser get?” Javier asked.

It was the perfect response. Not that he thought either of them was going to be selfish lovers, but it was always good to get confirmation. “Uhm, I guess that depends. I’m thinking some oral gratification would be a good consolation prize. Does he do that?”

“Saul? Why wouldn’t he?” Kyle had known many a top who thought it was beneath them to suck cock; apparently Javier never had that problem. “He’s really good, too.”

Hot damn! Did Saul suck cock the way he kissed, like he had all the time in the world to enjoy it? Kyle was so ready to experience that! “How good?”

“Like...” Javier chewed on his lower lip as he sought the right words. “Like mind numbing, toe curling, shake you apart and leave you begging for more, good.”

“Well now—” Kyle teased when he felt Saul’s smug smile against his nape. “—it’s not that I don’t trust your opinion, baby, but I should really judge that for myself.”

“Always best to experience these things first hand.” Javier nodded seriously. How was he to resist this pair, really?

“Are the two of you going to talk about it all morning or will there be actual tongue tagging soon?” Saul grumbled. “Not that this hasn’t been amusing, but one of you better make a move or I’m leaving you both here to suffer.”

“Suffer?” Kyle scoffed, “We’ll just fuck without you.”

Faster than he could think of why that challenge was such a bad idea, Saul flipped him onto his stomach and pinned him. With Javier squeaking and scurrying back, and Saul giving him his best early morning glare, Kyle could not find a single thing to regret in his statement. In fact, it was all he could do not to pat himself on the back and whoop out an enthusiastic Hell Yes!

“I would’ve thought a smart pup like you wouldn’t need this spelled out for him. My pups don’t fuck without me and back talk like that will make me impose further sanctions,” Saul warned.

Kyle really wanted to push his luck. If not for Javier watching them curiously, he would have aimed for the back talker of the year award.

Reading Reviews

I have to admit that since Keeping Faith released I've been tempted to go to GoodReads or Amazon to read reviews or at the very least check out the star rating so that I can gauge how it's faring.

As a mental health policy, I don't read reviews unless the book has been out a long time--and even then, I do so with a big dose of alcohol courage. I support reviewer rights to express their opinion about the books they read, however they want to express themselves. The hard part is where I go out and willfully read the criticism in an attempt to glean something I can take away to make my stories better.

And honestly, the only thing that I really want to know is if anyone liked the book. I don't need the details unless I need to know how a certain character or plot aspect was received.

So I have a policy. "Don't go hunting trouble."

But that doesn't mean I don't read reviews. I do. Every day. They're just not mine. I'm a reader too and money is tight. With the advent of the e-book, if I find in the first couple of chapters that the book isn't for me, I can't give it away to someone who would enjoy it more than me. Instead, it sits on the virtual book shelf and gathers electronic dust. With a tight budget, I have to be more frugal with my book budget. So I find reviewers who have the sames tastes/likes that I have and gauge whether or not I want to take the final step and purchase the book. ^__^

Every day I get a slew of emails from sites and blogs I subscribe to. (Sometimes it seems I keep adding to the list because there are more and more emails to wade through.) It's great because I can keep a finger on what's coming out. I share book blasts and giveaways, read reviews, and occasionally I'll come across a review for one of my own books.

I'll admit that I'm not afraid to read reviews from the websites I subscribe to. It's a trust thing. I've read the reviews of their reviewers (what a mouthful) and even if they don't like the book, the information is clear and constructive. I still hold my breath while reading because I want people to like my stories.

With the release of Keeping Faith, I've had this itch to find out what people think. Contemporary is not my writing comfort zone. Many people loved Playing For Keeps and I felt like I was messing with fire writing the sequel.

I braved GoodReads and there was all of three written reviews and I admit it was really, really nice to read they liked the book in varying degrees. Not everyone liked the book, and I'm okay with that. I did glean some useful information from the reviews--predictability and the kidnapping scene wasn't taken as serious I thought it was, but like I said, writing contemporary isn't my strong point. I would like to get better at it which means learning from my previous endeavors.

So just in case Tina or Gigi read the blog... Thank you for the great reviews! <3 <3 <3

Caroline at Prism Book Alliance gave Keeping Faith 4 Stars.

"I love reading menage but they don’t always work well. This one has three very distinct characters that bring very different things to their relationship and it is well balanced and loving."

Thank you, Caroline!!

Playing For Keeps received and great review as  well from MM Good Book Reviews. KathyMac gave it 4 Hearts.

"This is my first read by Lexi Ander and I really enjoyed this story. So much so that I will be starting the follow-up next. Even though we didn’t get any history on how the three became a unit, the author does a great job showing how in love they are. The plot was executed well from the time frame involved and it was a gratifying story. The dialogue is funny but serious when the situation called for it. Lexi shows depth and meaning in her sentences allowing the reader to visualize the scene."
Thank you, KathyMac!!

Thank you for stopping by and reading!!

FInal Stop in the Keeping Faith Blog Tour With Giveaway

"Perfect" Hero... Err... Or is it Antihero?

Good Morning!!

Today is the final day of the Keeping Faith blog tour.

Being the last stop on the tour does have some perks. One of them being waiting until the last minute to write this post!  ^_^

First off, I need to thank Freddy MacKay for sending me a list of questions to help me today's topic. What makes the perfect hero in your book?

Answer: The character you don't expect to be the hero.

In real life, heroes come in all shapes and sizes, from all walks of life. Sometimes they are the people you don't see until they step up in the middle of a crisis. They are people who act with heart and compassion. They don't have to be strong or athletic or have a background in civil service. Being a hero doesn't mean you have to save people from a burning building. Sometimes all it take is stepping forward or speaking up. Just Joe Schmo doing the right thing without regard to his or her own welfare. A hero.

Keeping Faith is contemporary fiction, with fiction being the operative word in that phrase. Just like what goes on in sex scenes in a romance novel (defiantly planning a post on that subject), the experience is fluffed up a bit because we want to root for the characters, feel good, and have a happy ending. Sometimes we want angst and heartbreak but we always, always want that HEA.

I'll be the first to admit that the situation Trent, Brock, and AJ find themselves in--well, in real life that happy ending would be a 1-2% probability. So you have to suspend disbelief in a couple of chapters but I did try to make the experience as real as possible.

I have to say the happy-ever-after wouldn't have been achieved without the part our antihero played. I happened to fall in love with Aldrich as he came alive on the page. Some of you may like him, some of you won't. Is he a hero? Yes or no, I'll let you decide.

Today's exclusive excerpt I have to handle carefully because I didn't want to give out spoilers. Where I skipped a spoiler paragraph there is an ellipse. The two sections flowed together quite well despite the missing piece. If you read the exclusive excerpt over at Toni Grffin's on Monday, you would've briefly met Aldrich. Today's look at him is a little deeper. If you didn't get a chance to read it then you can find the link on the list below for the tour schedule.

Thank you for stopping by and reading! I hope you enjoy the exclusive excerpt. Happy Holidays!!

Something to note about the giveaway: the more comments the more winners. Also, go back to the other blog stops and leave a comment there as well. On December 9th all the blog stops will draw a random winners and I'll send out an e-book copy of Keeping Faith to the winners.

Side Note: If you haven't read Playing For Keeps, it is a free read that you can find on Fireborn's website or over at All Romance (ARe). I would suggest reading it first before jumping into Keeping Faith.

Excerpt:

He didn't lock the car when he climbed out of the sedan. No one would dare steal it, especially with the lookout not far away. Grabbing the drink carrier and the bag of breakfast sandwiches, Aldrich crossed the street with his bounty and approached the house with the teenager sitting on the porch steps.

The kid stared at him warily, but didn't say anything when Aldrich sat next to him, placing the bag between his feet so he could withdraw a cup of orange juice from the drink carrier before handing the other to the teenager. The boy hesitated before accepting the cup, lifting the lid to smell the juice as if he didn't trust Aldrich not to slip him something.

Aldrich didn't comment on the lack of trust. He didn't eat or drink what others provided to him, it would be stupid of him if he did. Instead, he dug into the bag for a couple of breakfast sandwiches, placing the bag at the boy's feet. Chewing slowly, he watched the house across the street. There was no external indication the building was occupied. A police car driving by would never suspect Bishop's men currently hid inside the dilapidated structure.

"You dress like a pansy," the boy said around a mouthful of sandwich. "If anyone in the neighborhood wore clothes like that they would have their asses beat on a regular basis."

"In the world I move in, my appearance is misdirection," Aldrich replied before popping the last piece of egg and cheese biscuit into his mouth.

The teenager chewed, his expression thoughtful. "So you're saying you dress like a douchebag because it causes people to underestimate you."

Aldrich took a sip of the orange juice. "People who dress in all black, wear leathers, and ride a motorcycle, they're advertising they believe themselves to be an exemplary badass. Some people may steer clear of them but some would take it as an invitation to challenge them, to test them and see if they were better. But moving around like this"—Aldrich indicated his light colored boat pants, cream jacket, and three button plaid vest—"most people will look at me and see what?"

"A pansy assed weak man who would be easy to take down and rob."

"Exactly. The majority of people will walk by and sneer at me disdainfully. That's okay because I couldn't care less what others think. My enemy will look at me and underestimate me."

"What makes you think I'm not your enemy?"

"Because I'm paying Caesar to be my ally right now. When I leave, I'll go back home and never will our paths cross again. And if they do, you won't recognize me."

The kid chewed the last of the breakfast sandwich, seeming to think about what Aldrich said.

Aldrich mentally reviewed the information he wanted to impart to the Cubans. He wasn't by any means new to this game. His uncle had pulled him out of boarding school when he was young and sent him to Europe where he tutored with the best private assassin in the business. Now at the age of twenty-nine he'd been doing Bishop's bidding for a long time. This was all he knew how to do and even though he carefully guarded his identity, he could only be lucky for so long. One day he'd make a mistake and he would be caught or killed.

....

The creak of the porch's floorboards brought Aldrich out of his musing. The man he'd been waiting for had arrived. Aldrich turned and looked up at Alejandro where he leaned against a post. He'd been waiting for the Cubans to approach him knowing he wouldn't meet with Caesar personally but was a little surprised Caesar sent his second in command.

Alejandro looked at the boy sitting next to Aldrich. "Raymon, go see your madre. She needs you to take her to the store. Come back afterwards."

After thanking Aldrich for breakfast, Raymon left. Slowly, Aldrich rose to his feet. "Nice to see you, Alejandro."

Alejandro stared at Aldrich, his dark, dead eyes giving nothing away. He thought at one time Alejandro might have been a good-looking man but a hard life had scarred his features to the point that only the most careless individuals weren't automatically wary of him when he entered a room.

"There is a rumor, amigo, that Paul Bishop is looking to bring his cartel to Miami."

Aldrich frowned even as he grinned on the inside. "I've heard the rumors as well, but his future plans aren't the reason why I'm here. Mr. Bishop is angry with the father of Trent Harte and I’m here to convey his displeasure. I've heard Mr. Bishop is having trouble with his supplier but discussions of moving wouldn't be shared with someone like me. I'm not in his inner circle. I guess we'll know if he starts sending more men to Miami."

Alejandro's prolonged stare made Aldrich itch to move. Despite what he’d told the boy, he was under no illusion the Cubans were his friends, regardless of how much money he'd given them. Every time he drove into their territory, Aldrich stayed hyperaware, waiting for the moment when the Cubans decided he overstayed his paid-for welcome. He played a dangerous game with them now. If he wasn't careful, if any of his meticulous research was faulty, if he hadn't read the personalities correctly to set off their triggers, then they would kill him.

Lexi has always been an avid reader, and at a young age started reading (secretly) her mother’s romances (the ones she was told not to touch). She was the only teenager she knew of who would be grounded from reading. Later, with a pencil and a note book, she wrote her own stories and shared them with friends because she loved to see their reactions. A Texas transplant, Lexi now kicks her boots up in the Midwest with her Yankee husband and her eighty-pound puppies named after vacuum cleaners.
