What's on the Reading Radar? #TBR #WishList

Busy week getting Cherish's manuscript finalized and uploaded to the different vendors. Lots and Lots and LOTS of paging through copies to ensure the formatting for each file type was okay. I'm going to give making quote meme's another shot, and I have an exclusive giveaway to put together. :)

Reading has been interesting. I actually forced myself to complete last week's boxset of Hell's Redemption so that I would know the backstory, though I didn't like the characters/plot/actions of books 2 & 3. Jason had to listen to me complain about it all week and now I'm not sure that needing to know the backstory was worth the forced reading. I'm also miffed that I put the boxset on last week's list with a positive note after reading the first book. I was only into chapter two of book 2, and since it started off alright, figured I would like it. Lesson learned, I guess.

This week's reading after the boxset hasn't bee stellar so I'm going chose books off my wish list for the Radar. I also need to start thinking about my favorite reads for 2021.

Will Ellie be able to forgive Cor after learning the truth? Or will she forever hold on to that hatred?

Series:
Author: Mary Calmes
Length: 346 pages

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Gay

Notes:

Blurb: Sometimes things look one way, but when you scratch the surface, there’s more than meets the eye.

Jeremiah Wolfe has always done what was necessary to survive. On top of working two jobs, he’s going to school to become a social worker so he can give kids the help he never got when his mother left years ago. When a rare night off finds him with the chance to make a quick buck, he jumps on it. But his evening goes sideways, and he’s about to head home when he’s propositioned by a stranger. A meaningless one-night stand is simple and easy, so he steps into the hotel room—as he has many—without expectation. But the man behind the door is a surprise, as is the instant connection that builds along with passion and a glimpse of his heart. Small wonder that Jere can’t get the nameless man out of his head.

Cameron Gallagher has never been accused of being spontaneous. He’s an introvert whose life is about schedules, plans, and lists. He’s always been the careful one, so inviting a stranger into his bed on the lure of his gorgeous smile and warm brown eyes isn’t only out of his comfort zone, it’s entirely out of character. Surprisingly, when he wakes in the morning alone, it’s not regret he feels, but the need to find the man who held him in his arms all night. It seems crazy, but he can’t get the man out of his head.

When they’re brought back together, each man believes it’s more than luck. They feel as though they’ve gotten a second chance. Sure, love at first sight is just a myth, the stuff of romance novels, but the more they scratch the surface, the more they realize they’ve got a shot at something lasting.

Series: Here Be Dragons, 2
Author: Louisa Masters
Length: 231 pages

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Gay

Notes: Ooohhhh. I completely forgot this was coming out! Yay!

Blurb: It was love at first sight… with my professor. What’s a dragon to do?

For two years, I’ve been pining over Professor Sarris. I knew the moment I saw him that we were meant for each other, but it’s not to be. For one thing, I was his student, and he’s the most ethical man I know. For another, he has no idea I’m actually a four-thousand-year-old dragon from another dimension.

When my people fled to Earth to avoid extinction, I vowed to clean up my life and stop acting like a fledgling. It’s bad enough that nobody takes me seriously… sure, maybe I used to be flighty and irresponsible and caused a few interspecies incidents, but that’s all in the past. I have big plans for the future, and this college gig is the first step in proving myself. I’m not endangering this fresh start for anyone.

But then my professor and I wind up at the same party, and suddenly it seems he’s not completely out of reach. Except I’m still the adorable flirt nobody wants to rely on, and convincing him we should be together while proving I’m a changed dragon is a monumental task.

Good thing I’m up for the challenge.

Title: The Necromancer's Light
Series: (Radiance Book 1)

Author: Tavia Lark
Length: 232 pages

Genre: Romance / Fantasy / Gay

Notes:

Blurb: He’ll die without touch.

As a necromancer, Shae loses a little more of himself every time he uses his magic. Always cold, always touch-starved, the only thing that helps is human contact. But that’s hard to come by when those same dark powers scare everyone away from him. Nobody likes a necromancer.

Especially a paladin of the Radiant Order.

Arthur’s still bitter and broken after his last lover stabbed him in the back, and the last thing he needs is another brush with evil. When he agrees to escort the wandering necromancer north, he’s just doing a public service.

But he never expected Shae to be so clingy. Or distractingly attractive.

Shae has never felt an aura as warm and safe as Arthur’s. He craves the man’s touch—and more. But everyone he’s ever known has left him, and it’s just a matter of time before Arthur leaves him too.

Assuming the soul-stealing monsters don’t kill them first.

The Necromancer’s Light is a gay fantasy romance, with magic, hurt/comfort, and bed sharing for Reasons. First in a series but can be read alone. 56,000 words, HEA guaranteed.

Thank you for stopping by and reading!!
