It is a cozy mystery and does a good job of revealing Lucy's backstory when needed. It does end with a bit of a... I don't want to say cliffhanger since it doesn't have anything to do with the plot or romance, but it did leave me with a, "WTH, William?" I did pick up the next book in the trilogy (which is complete) because "WTH, William?"
