What's on the Reading Radar? #WishList #TBR

Wow. I thought January went by fast. This first week of February felt non-existent. This would indicate that I was busy. Now, I just need to feel as if I accomplished something. LOL!

Series: Fated Elves, 1
Author(s): Devon Vesper
Length: 314 pages

Genre: Romance / Fantasy / Contemporary / Gay

Notes: The freebie that Devon gave away at the beginning of January allowed me to dip my toe into this universe. I'm excited to get back to it!

Blurb: An omega elven king is shocked to discover his alpha... is a human construction worker?

When Dustin stumbles into Casersis and touches his magic amulet, Dustin’s hint of elven blood starts a magical chain reaction that puts him in mortal danger. The amulet’s power begins to rewrite his DNA from human to elf, and if humanity finds out, he’ll become a science experiment at best. But when Casersis senses the change, his first instinct is to hold Dustin captive.

Casersis wants his young alpha to be safe and loved while he undergoes his magical change. Exiled from his home and throne by his son, and now a billionaire corporation owner, when Casersis issues commands, his people fall in line. But Dustin is so independent that Casersis doesn’t know how to hold onto him without suffocating his new lover.

Can Casersis keep Dustin safe by holding him against his will? Or will the threat of captivity erase the bond of trust they had just begun to form?

This 73,000-word non-shifter omegaverse novel is set in a world where mpreg (male pregnancy) is a fact of life. However, this series does not end with a baby or pregnancy.

Series: Magic Emporium Series
Author(s): Kim Fielding
Length: 216 pages

Genre: Romance / Fantasy / Contemporary / Gay

Notes:

Blurb: Morli is a prince on a mission—but he’d rather be baking.

Baxter is a lonely production artist stuck in a pandemic lockdown.

They are literally universes apart. But with a little help from a magic shop, a raven, and a dead great-aunt who was possibly a witch, Morli and Baxter are joined together on a cross-worlds adventure. Battling killer brambles in order to rescue an enchanted princess seems simple compared to their real challenges: discovering their strengths and creating a future together.

The Muffin Man is part of the Magic Emporium Series. Each book stands alone, but each one features an appearance by Marden’s Magic Emporium, a shop that can appear anywhere, but only once and only when someone is in dire need. This book contains reluctant heroes, sentient sourdough starter, lots of carbs, and a guaranteed HEA.

Series: The Hunter and The Spider #1
Author(s): EM Jeanmougin, Jay Wright
Length: 357 pages

Genre: Urban Fantasy / Action & Adventure / Paranormal / Shifters / Hunters / Enemies to ? / Romantic Elements? /

Notes: I came across this in a FB group and was like, "Urban Fantasy, yay. Wait, Werespider? Yes, please."

Blurb: Where there’s demons, there’s bound to be demon hunters and in Brooklyn there’s no shortage of either.

Jasper Craig is a hunter at New York’s secret St. James Academy, and he’s one of the best. With superior strength, agility, and a handy ability to sense demonic energy, it’s like he was born for the job. Since he was orphaned at a young age, his parents took the secret of what, exactly, he is to their graves. And if his adoptive father knows, he’s not telling.

Loyal to the cause of keeping the mortal world safe from the evils of demons, there isn’t anything Jasper wouldn’t do. So when his father and superior officer tells him to go undercover to trick a rare and dangerous werespider, Jasper agrees.

Crimson Apocalypse is one of New York’s oldest residents and the only known werespider in the north eastern United States. He’s the sort of guy who lives as fast as he talks and talks as fast as he drives, and if Jasper wants to get closer to the werespider he’s going to have to keep up.

But getting closer might be dangerous in more ways than one and what Jasper learns may not be what he expects.

Strangers in the Night is a tense, action-filled urban fantasy. A story of self-discovery in a world where things are not always what they seem and the lines between good and evil are hard to draw.

Series: (Waves of Fate Book 1)
Author(s): Drea Roman
Length: 250 pages

Genre: Romance / Slow Burn / Paranormal / Shifter / Gay

Notes: So there was a cute meme going around about a waiter picking up someone's coat and giving it back to them. The selkie then romances the waiter. It was cute and sweet and someone was asking for books like that in an RH group. Someone recommended this, noting that it wasn't RH but M/M. I'm like, sign me up! I need something sweet.

Blurb: A marshmallow selkie with more heart than sense and a stubborn human with a guarded heart fall in love in this first story from the Waves of Fate universe.

“Oops! You dropped your coat!” With these words, waiter Daniel Collins turns selkie Gregory Samson’s life upside down. Because that coat is not some fancy heirloom fur. No, it is Gregory’s selkie pelt, which magically connects him with his seal animal inside.

When Gregory hears Daniel’s voice, he knows the human is his mate. Too bad Daniel has more than a few misgivings about trusting his heart to a selkie. Because the magical seal shifters have one of the worst player reputations of all shifter kind and Daniel fears a broken heart. How will Gregory convince Daniel to give him a chance?

It wouldn’t be so hard if Gregory’s mother and everyone else would just stop meddling!

Brought together by the magic of Gregory’s coat, can the pair weather insecurities, an interfering mother, meddling friends, and a disgruntled inner animal?

The Selkie’s Coat is a slow burn mm romance with a guaranteed HEA. It is book 1 of the Waves of Fate universe and can be read as a standalone.

Title: Thunder Moon
Series: (Alpha Triplets Book 2)
Author(s): Minerva Howe
Length: 124 pages

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Alpha & Omega / Gay /

Notes: So I read Minerva's Dragon Hoard series which is mpreg and while waiting for book 3, I started her Triplets' series which has omegas but not mpreg. Different types of series but both were great reads. Now I need book 3 in both series. LOL

Blurb: Biker Jett Lowell knows rescued wolf shifter Sam is his mate. He just doesn't know if Sam is capable of taking his lifestyle as a biker, and his needs when it comes to love in stride. So he's stayed away for the better part of the year, which has been tough in more ways than one, since Sam has been staying with Jett's family. He missed them all, but when Sam starts talking about striking out on his own, Jett knows he has to act.

Former "worthless one" Sam knows he's not as fragile or scared as Jett thinks he is, despite his rough start in life. When he and his brothers and sister were rescued, Sam fell for Jett, and he knows what he wants, just not how to get it. Determined to become someone worthy of Jett, Sam starts making plans, but that pushes Jett to make his move. Sam meets Jett passion for passion. It's not the bedroom that sends Sam running. It's the noisy biker den Jett runs, and the rough men who remind Sam of his earlier life. Can they find a way to compromise and be the solid couple they both long to become?

Thank you for stopping by and reading!!
