What's Happening In My Neck Of The Woods

For those of you who are interested in what project I'm working on, Dragon's Eye (Sumeria's Sons, 5) is my active WIP.

I'm easily a month behind on this project with my father falling ill and passing away. I still have days that I sit and look at the notebook with nothing coming to me. And what does is pretty dark and that isn't Tristan, Ushna, or Brian. It's been very frustrating trashing days and days of work because it doesn't fit.

On top of the dark brooding I've had a ton of editing come across the desk. The Aurora Conspiracy, A New Beginning (Sumeria's Sons, 2.5; Sumeria's Magi, 0.1), the galley for Songs of the Earth. All of them are finished and back home with the publisher.

I'm now working on edits for Dreams of the Forgotten. Lordy! There are some really cheesy lines in this book! But this exercise is good. It's been so long since I've read through the series that there were small things that I had forgotten. I'm glad I still enjoy the story and it does light an excitement in me to get back to the series and finish it up.

Even with scrapping the first couple of chapters a half dozen times, this has been a good writing week. I'm about 7k into the new beginning of Dragon's Eye. The story starts with Ushna's POV. There's another 17k on the hard drive that's Tristan's POV that I had written some time ago, so I'm sure it will need a face lift.
