Guest Post: LM Brown - What, no Christmas?

What, no Christmas?

One Perfect Wish is a story that I originally envisaged to be a Christmas themed story.  After all, what could be more fun than being thrown into an alternate reality on Christmas Day?  Well, probably lots of things, actually, but when I was writing the story I found I didn’t want to focus on the holiday season after all.

It occurred to me that I would like to write a wintery story with fun in the snow without focusing on either the religious aspects of the holiday season or the gift-giving side of things. I therefore decided to keep the winter season but get rid of the holiday.  After all, not everyone celebrates the season but there are many who can appreciate the snow.

Okay, I personally don’t appreciate the snow that much.  It’s cold, wet, and I tend to slip and slide all over the place when it is icy.  I have even been known to fall over in the middle of town on the treacherous ice patches that seem to be arranged all along my direct route from A to B, no matter where I am going.

But as a child I did like playing in the snow and there is a nice field near me that has a great little hill to sledge down.  I am sure there are many in England who will recall the huge power cut back in the late 80s/early 90s (I forget the exact year).  Well I spent most of that weekend out in the snow, despite having no heating or hot water in the house.  The cold didn’t bother me then as nearly as much as it does now.

As children playing in the snow is something all of us have done – at least in those countries where we get that white stuff.  ;-)

For Scott, the narrator of One Perfect Wish, playing in the snow isn’t something he did.  His upbringing didn’t allow for such frivolous activities and his location in the middle of the city didn’t help either.

When Cameron, his husband for a day, finds out Scott never had the chance to go sledging he decides to rectify this immediately, by taking Scott to the hillside he sledged on with his siblings as a child and letting him experience it for himself.

Fun and frolics in the snow abound and you can see a small snippet of the same below.

I hope everyone enjoys this seasonal story, where in this case the season is winter, rather than Christmas.

Playing the part of another man’s husband to fulfil a wish is easy, but what happens at midnight when the magical day is over?

Scott Baxter is a workaholic with no time for love, until a djinn pulls him out of his life and deposits him into the bed of Cameron Kirk. Cut off from his life, Scott isn’t happy about the idea of being forced to help the djinn grant an unspecified wish, but he soon finds he has no real choice in the matter. The djinn, who has turned his life upside down, has powers that prevent Scott from leaving and ensure he does nothing to ruin Cameron’s day with his ‘husband’.

Reluctant at first, Scott finds that as the day progresses he starts to enjoy playing the role of Cameron’s husband. He connects with his unexpected lover in a way he never has with other men.

Scott searches for clues to help him track down Cameron after the day is over and he returns to his own life. He doesn’t want the day to end, but the wish is out of his control and when the magic is finished his time with Cameron may be over too.

Excerpt

Cameron kissed him slowly as he continued to grope him. Scott was vaguely aware of Cameron pulling his zipper down, his hand slipping into his boxers, fisting his cock and stroking him.

“Like this?” Cameron whispered between kisses.

“What if someone sees us?” Scott asked. Visions of school kids coming to the hillside and catching them fornicating in the snowdrift crossed his mind.

“We’re pretty well buried in the snow here,” Cameron pointed out. “If anyone comes sledging they’ll not see us until they’re on top of us.”

“That’s not exactly comforting.”

Cameron gave him a smug glance. “You really think you can last more than a minute?” he asked.

“Not a chance in hell of that,” Scott admitted as Cameron whipped his dick out of his boxers and quickly took him into the warmth of his mouth. What in the world had happened to him? He didn’t remember ever being this horny, not even during his teenage years.

How had he gone from a businessman who hooked up with the occasional random man as and when the need arose, to the husband of a man whose idea of a fun time was playing in the snow?

Scott closed his eyes and let Cameron have his way with him. His husband certainly knew how to give a good blow job. He sucked down his entire length, deep throating him with an expertise Scott envied. With his lips and tongue, Cameron swiftly brought him to the brink.

Whether anyone could see them or not, Scott was pretty sure the entire village heard his cry of completion as he came down Cameron’s throat.

Cameron sat up and licked his lips. “Want to go again?” he asked.

Scott panted and gasped for breath. “I don’t think I can get it up again yet.”

“I meant the sledge.”

Scott pulled Cameron back down on top of him. “Let’s leave the sledging to the kids,” he suggested. All it took was a few heated kisses for Cameron to agree.
