Celebration Book Sale! #rainbowawards #fantasy #PNR #lgbtiaq

December 7th & 8th the Rainbow Awards were announced and Caledonia Destiny came in 3rd place in Best Bisexual Historical & Paranormal Romance and 6th place in Best Bisexual Book. It also had an Honorable Mention which just put me over the moon.

In celebration, Caledonia Destiny is on sale for $0.99 until December 15th!

A twist of fate changed both their destinies.

The wyrbears, once a long-lived species, were being lost to the forest in their prime. A people borne of a curse, their abilities not a gift but something wrongly taken, they nonetheless live in harmony with their animal spirits. But over time the curse they lived under changed, mutated, and now what once was a refuge from the world when they became too weary is culling mathan in their prime.

Ewen mhic Friscalach, the leader of his peoples, lost his father too early and is now a widower with four children. The vow he made as a youth to break the curse afflicting wyrbears has been buried by grief and responsibility.

Roi mhic Alric, a priest of Cerridwen and seer, watched his fellow priests slaughtered and his temple desecrated. The only thing that kept him going the last three horror-filled years was the vision Cerridwen had granted him of his emancipation. If freedom came at the cost of his life, well, he was more than ready for the Otherworld.

A fated meeting upon a bloody field of battle. A wrong done long ago. Their choices could save a people… or send them into extinction. Either way, their love will be legend.

Keep the Stars Running: 2015 Rainbow Award Winner!

How cool is it that Keep the Stars Running tied for 1st place (with Kirby Crow's Hammer and Bone) for 2015 Rainbow Awards LGBT Anthology / Collection. Earlier this month we were notified that it received an Honorable Mention which was thrilling in of itself.

The anthologies in the category are Gayrabian Nights by Johnny Townsend, Charmed and Dangerous: Ten Tales of Gay Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy by Jordan Castillo Price, Hope and Love Anthology by Áine P Massie, and Don’t Be Shy – A collection of erotic lesbian stories by Jae & Astrid Ohletz.

Paperback: 514 pages
Publisher: Less Than Three Press (May 13, 2015)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 1620045311
ISBN-13: 978-1620045312
Amazon: Keep the Stars Running
Amazon Kindle: Keep the Stars Running

Space is not always filled with adventures and glory. Not everybody goes racing off to battle evil and save the galaxy. Between the rebels, pirates, royals, and spies are the everyday people who work hard just to get by and ensure everyone gets home safe.

Less Than Three Press presents a collection of tales about the ordinary folks who keep the stars running.

» The Prince and the Programmer by Cassandra Pierce
» The Aurora Conspiracy by Lexi Ander
» About a Bot by Andrea Speed
» Flight Risk by Talya Andor
» Survival by Leona Carver

"Every time I read an Andrea Speed book I get sucked in. I read all the books in the anthology, they were all good.

Although on a similar theme, each story took a different approach. I was hooked very early on by not just the plots, but the characters and worldbuilding. A few authors new to me who I will be reading more of. Loved it.

In the previous anthologies I've said that there was a mixed bag of good and not so good stories. In this one, though, I must confess, I Loved all the stories within. Each one was quite entertaining and some even kept me at the edge of the seat. I must say, I'd love to see these shorts expanded to novel size and let us see more of these couples and the men and women who surround them. Well written, entertaining stories!"

Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: Keep The Stars Running #scifi #anthology @LT3Press

I woke up to some really good news this morning. There was a message waiting for my approval to post on my Facebook timeline. The anthology, Keep The Stars Running, had another honorable mention for the Rainbow Awards. How awesome is that? In about nine days (I think), we'll find out if the anthology placed in the Rainbow Awards. Wish us luck.

Alpha Trine News!

This is a day late going up on the blog. I had the winner's announcement for the Twin Flames blog tour yesterday and didn't want to overshadow the winners with other news I had received.

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter or even Google+ you might have already seen the announcements of the finalists for the 2014 Rainbow Awards. Alpha Trine (The Valespian Pact, 1) is one of the finalist.

There were 525 submissions and $11,500 dollars raised for various charities. Of the submissions, 284 titles are being read by 172 judges right now to meet the December 8, 2014 deadline.

There are so many great books being evaluated and I'm humbled to be numbered among such talent. I'm felling a little out of my league but it's all good. Alpha Trine made the finals and that... I'm not really sure what to say. I struggle enough with how to respond to compliments that finding the proper words to express my gratitude eludes me sometimes. I simply wanted to write stories and share them. That's all. All of this *waves hand around dramatically* Is so overwhelming.

The category Alpha Trine is in:

Bisexual General Fiction
Alpha Trine by Lexi Ander
Best Bi Short Stories by Sheela Lambert
Cythera by Jo Graham
The River Within by Baxter Clare Trautman
The Stars Change by Mary Anne Mohanraj

Something else to note, Alpha Trine's cover made it to the 3rd round of the cover contest. Aisha Akeju is the cover artist and she is amazing. She also put together Striker's cover, which I adore. The other covers by Aisha that made the cover finals are:

176 - Falling for Forever (Aisha Akeju)
336 - Ink & Flowers (Aisha Akeju)
342 - Ice (Aisha Akeju)

Other fantastic artists from Less Than Three Press who also made the 3rd round are:

63 - Goblins (Ria Chantler)
19 - The Engineered Throne (Megan Derr)
17 - The Memory of Blood & Lotuses (London Burden)
337 - The Merman and the Barbarian Pirate (Julie Wright)

Make sure you vote for at least 3 of your favorites before October 18th!

And finally, in case you missed the brief blog post, Alpha Trine made the 2014 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention list. Click Here to view full article.

"Honestly this is one of the best books I've read this year. It is a rich, full world with rich, full characters. I couldn't have asked for a better sci-fi book. Sci-fi is one of the hardest (in my opinion) genres to write in, and it's rare (for me) that a story captures my interest so thoroughly."
