What's on the Reading Radar #WishList #TBR #read

What is going on? Lost of things but mostly writing, writing, and more writing. Constant is so close to being done that I can taste it.

Title: The 5th Gender
Series:
Author: GL Carriger
Length: 251 pages
Publisher: GAIL CARRIGER LLC (May 18, 2019)

Genre: Romance / Sci-Fi / Mystery / Gay /

Notes: This was on the Radar when it was first released because it's sci-fi with an alien love interest. But I held off reading because Gail's MM paranormal series is a bit angsty and I can only read it a chapter at a time if my anxiety is eating at me. Though this said lighthearted, I still held off until last week. The 5th Gender is a wonderful read. Though the romance is lighthearted, the mystery of the murder does twist the heart. Tristol is a gem. The type of character you want to bring home and make them family. The detective was perfect for him. It is gently thought provoking and the writing is excellent. I would definitely recommend this.

Blurb: A species that has no word for murder, has a murderer aboard their spaceship.

ALIEN

Tristol lives in exile. But he’s built a life for himself aboard a human space station. He’s even begun to understand the complex nuances of human courting rituals.

Detective Hastion is finally flirting back!

MURDER

Except that Tristol’s beloved space station is unexpectedly contacted by the galoi – a xenophobic species with five genders, purple skin, and serious attitude. They need the help of a human detective because there’s a murderer aboard their spaceship. Murder is so rare, the galoi don’t even have a word for it.

Tristol knows this because he is galoi.

ROMANCE

Which means that he and Detective Hastion are on the case… together.

Delicate Sensibilities?

Contains men who love other men in graphic detail, regardless of gender, biology, or skin color... and lots of emotively sexy tentacle hair.

New York Times best selling author Gail Carriger (writing as G.L. Carriger) brings you a light-hearted romantic cozy mystery featuring an adorable lavender alien and his human crush.

Title: Absolution
Series: A Dominion Novel
Author: Lissa Kasey
Length: 344 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romance / Urban Fantasy / Gay

Notes:

Blurb: Sam is used to being the bad guy. So when he becomes the undead, he doesn’t understand why it pisses him off. Sure guys throw themselves at him, and he’s strong enough to toss a car across a room, but he’s friends with two of the four pillars of Dominion power and mentored by one of the most powerful vampires in the world. Things that put a damper on his whole ‘scourge of darkness’ vibe.

For months he’s been letting a little red-eyed monster out to play and feeding on the dangerous instead of on the willing. If it weren’t for his endless desire to take a nibble from his sexy and tattooed roommate, Constantine, he’d still be stalking the night looking for human monsters to devour. Instead he’s taking on a cibo, a regular blood donor, in the form of Luca, a dhampir.

With Luca and his profound knowledge of undead politics in his life, Sam begins to realize he doesn’t know as much as he thought, and maybe that’s not his fault. His mentor’s sanity is slipping, the world is changing, and vampires are beginning to lose control. Will Sam fall into the darkness too, or can Luca and Con drag him back from the abyss?

Note: Book can be read as stand alone.

Title: Jon's Downright Ridiculous Shooting Case
Series: (Jon's Mysteries Case 1)
Author: AJ Sherwood
Length: 309 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romance / Mystery / Humor / Contemporary / Bisexual /

Notes: The tags are what convinced me to give this story a look at. LOL

Blurb: A psychic without an anchor. A student in trouble. A shooter on the loose.

I’m Jonathan Bane, a licensed psychic who consults for the police. I routinely help the police put the bad guys away and, for that reason, the criminal world doesn’t like me much. People like to take a swing at me, or go stabbity, or try for a gun. It makes for interesting times. My psychic ability prevents me from handling anything electronic—and I do mean ANYTHING, I fry it in seconds—so calling for help isn’t always a possibility.

I need an anchor, a partner, but I’m resigned: it’s just wishful thinking.

At least, I thought so until he walked through the door.

Donovan Havili looks like a thug and has the soul of a superhero. He shines so bright in my vision it’s like watching a supernova. He definitely has the right mindset and skills for this crazy job. But asking anyone to take me on long-term is a bit much. And now we’ve got multiple cases to handle, a Chinese exchange student falsely accused who needs our help, and someone taking random shots at me. It’s a bit much for any new guy to handle and I’m half-afraid that my new partner will run for the door.

But in Donovan Havili, the criminal world has met its match. And maybe, just maybe, I have as well.

Title: Hunter's Creek
Series:
Author: Victoria Sue
Length: 205 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Action & Adventure / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: Sai has spent half his life locked away in a human psychiatric facility for inexplicable rages and inhuman strength. Drugged and desperate, he is ready to give up completely until one miraculous day he’s rescued by a stranger who not only says his rages are because he’s a rare unbonded wolf omega, but insists Sai is his true mate.

Asher is used to shifters of every sort. Growing up, he was his mom and dad’s first successful foster cub and, along with his large family, they often get emergency calls about shifter kids in trouble.

Except Sai is no child. He’s one hundred percent grown-up gorgeous male and one hundred percent Asher’s fated mate. He’s also rare. Very rare. Given time, Asher is sure he can explain who and what he is…except when the rogue wolves discover Sai’s existence and the baby he might be carrying, time is something they no longer have.

Then the race isn’t about explaining how much Asher loves him, but becomes about saving Sai’s life.

Title: Immortal Longing
Series: (Austin Immortals Book 1)
Author: Jax Garren
Length: 321 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romance / Urban Fantasy / Paranormal / Vampires / Gay /

Notes: I started reading this a couple of days ago. So far, it is really good.

Blurb: She wants his heart for her god. His only hope is the vampire who broke it.

Vince Pagano may live out loud and proud, but he has a secret: Vampires are real. In fact, he used to date one before said vampire, well, ghosted him. Flash forward five years. Vince lands in trouble of a supernatural nature, and there’s only one man he can turn to.

Charlie Travert is a vampire who's quiet, restrained, and possessive. It’s been five years since a charismatic young human crushed his heart with a lie, and Charlie walked away to save the broken pieces. But when Vince tumbles in his door with hell on his heels, Charlie will do whatever it takes to save the man he couldn’t forgive—but couldn’t forget either.

Immortal Longing is a second chance romance with a happily ever after that kicks off the Austin Immortals series. Filled with magic, unforgettable characters, and a world on the verge of an apocalypse, the series combines the worldbuilding of urban fantasy with the emotion of a romance.

Immortal Longing was previously released as Stripped with the Vampire. This version contains mild edits
