What's on the Reading Radar? #TBR #WishList #amreading

What happened this week? Me grumbling about April being more than half over. It was April 2nd yesterday.

Title: Earth Fathers are Weird
Series:
Author: Lyn Gala
Length:
Publisher:

Genre: Romance / Sci-Fi / Alien / Gay / mpreg /

Notes: I read and loved this! I will definitely be re-reading soon! <3

Blurb: Captain Maxwell Davis and his entire unit scrambled to engage alien ships over Iowa. The aliens snatched him out of his destroyed jet before they continued on their interplanetary hot pursuit. Then they informed Max that Earth was too far outside regular shipping lanes to return him to his planet.

So Max ends up in an alien spaceport looking for work. To afford a ticket home he can either spend three hundred years working with linguists to improve the computer's questionable ability to translate English or he can take a job as a nanny for an unpopular alien. That way he can afford the ticket in four years. The problem is that the computer may have mistranslated the word "nanny" and there might be a reason an alien is willing to pay such a high fee.

Title: Jailmates
Series: Maxim Colonies
Author: Lesli Richardson
Length: 309 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romantic Sci-Fi / Alien / Mpreg /

Notes: I'm in the middle of reading this, so I haven't finished. I have words to say about someone's incorrect use of pronouns, but I'm waiting to see if it is supposed to be a character growth thing.

Blurb: This wasn’t in the contract.

Simon Quigley had no idea what to expect when he agreed to do this for the money, but the eight-foot-tall pink alien isn’t what he was expecting. For starters, Simon’s straight.

And Mohrn isn’t a girl.

The contract? It’s unbreakable.

It’s going to be a long five years…

[102k words, sci-fi, m/m, m-preg]

Annice is a rare talent, able to Sing all four quarters, but her brother, the newly enthroned King Theron, sees her request to study at the Bardic Hall as a betrayal. To his surprise, Annice accepts his conditions, renouncing her royal blood and swearing to remain childless so as not to jeopardize the line of succession. She walks away from political responsibilities, royal privilege and her family.

Ten years later, Annice has become the Princess Bard and her real life is about to become the exact opposite of the overwrought ballad her fellow students at the Bardic Hall wrote about her. Now, she's on the run from the Royal Guards with the Duc of Ohrid, the father of her unborn child, both of them guilty of treason – one of them unjustly accused. To save the Duc's life, they'll have to cross the country, manage to keep from strangling each other, and defeat an enemy too damaged for even a Bard's song to reach.
