What is on the Reading Radar? #TBR #WishList

What's been going on this week? Well, we celebrated our 25 year wedding anniversary earlier in the week and my husband turned 50 on Friday. In between us trying to spoil each other rotten (awesome fun), I finished the edits for Caledonia Destiny and we are in the final stages of wrapping it up. The Cover Reveal will be in a couple of weeks and there will also be a Book Blast in July. The release date is set for July 9th. In the meantime, I am back to working on Constant (Valespian Pact, 3). I'm pushing hard to get the rewrites and expansion finished so that I can finally get this submitted.

I've been in a rereading mood this week, trying to keep from getting caught up in something new that will distract me from my writing. (It happens sometimes, LOL!) But, I found some books that I put on my wish list... sort of incentive for finishing my book. :)

Title: Hawk in the Rowan
Series: (The Rowan Harbor Cycle Book 4)
Author(s): San Burns
Length: 158 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Paranormal / Romance / Gay /

Notes: I really like this series.

Blurb: Devon Murphy has been back in Rowan Harbor for three months. He’s taken on a host of new responsibilities, and is in a serious relationship for the first time in his life. He loves the town and its inhabitants, but it’s starting to feel like too much for the former drifter.

Now there’s a storm on the horizon, and it doesn’t seem like things are going to slow down and let him catch his breath. A blizzard is brewing, and three people have gone missing in the woods south of town. Devon needs to find them before time runs out.

This book is the fourth of nine in The Rowan Harbor Cycle, not a standalone. Devon and Wade will return in book seven for their HEA.

Title: Rites of Spring
Series: Rites Book One
Author(s): JV Speyer
Length: 189 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Gay / Suspense /

Notes:

Blurb: Cameron has given up on romance, after a difficult childhood made it hard for him to trust enough for intimate relationships to develop. But mostly he's happy with the life he's built for himself.

When two paranormal investigators show up at the home he recently inherited, claiming he may be in danger, he sends them packing, convinced they're nothing but con men.

Until several incidents prove they're telling the truth. The past Cameron tried so hard to leave behind is coming for him, and it's angry.

Title: The Trouble Maker
Series: (The Hunter Brothers Book 2)
Author(s): Lili Valentine
Length: 266 pages
Publisher: Self Taught Ninja (April 23, 2018)

Genre: Contemporary Romance / Lots of Sex / Bad Boy /

Notes:

Blurb: They say Rafe Hunter is trouble with a capital T.

I say--bring it on.

As long as Trouble comes in a package as delicious as Rafe's, I'm ready to climb on his Harley and ride all night long--and I'm not just talking about his motorcycle.

I can hide out until the scandal with my evil ex blows over AND have a wild rebound at the same time. Besides, I've got no heart left to break. My ex made sure of that.

As long as Rafe and I keep our no-strings fling from our families, what can possibly go wrong?

***
This is so damned wrong.

I don't do drama, and this thing with Carrie Haverford has Bad News written all over it. After one red-hot kiss, I know I should cut and run.

Instead I take her home, take her in her car, take her to the beach and make her scream louder than the crashing waves. And then I take her so far into my heart I don't see how I'm ever going to let her go.

They say the bigger and badder they are, the harder they fall. But when I fall for a girl with third degree love burns, how can I convince her that fire is a good thing?

This sexy Standalone romance will make you laugh, melt, and fall madly in love.

Title: A Shining Knight
Series:
Author(s): Rebecca Locksley
Length: 304 pages
Publisher: eXtasy Books (November 24, 2017)

Genre: Time Travel / Romance / Gay /

Notes: Hoping for some laughs along with the romance.

Blurb: Can a hard-bitten, horse-mounted fighting man adjust to the peaceful modern world? When nerdy medieval language scholar Gabriel Sussman finds himself responsible for two medieval crusaders stranded in the modern world, the whole question is complicated by his serious crush on the knight, Jordan De Courcy. Surely such a manly man could never be interested in someone like Gabriel. Or are Gabriel’s slim, pale-skinned good looks just the things to appeal to medieval tastes?

Title: Cold Blood
Series: Fatal Fables
Author(s): Bill Kieffer
Length:
Publisher: Jaffa Books (May 7, 2018)

Genre: Paranormal / No Human World / Anthology /

Notes:

Blurb: Welcome to Aesop's World, a world of allegory and violence.

It's a dark world where love and redemption have a cost that can only be measured in blood and violence. It's just like your own Earth, except darker... furrier... scalier. There are no humans. If there were ever humans, they are just the myths now of strange religions and cultures.

The place to be is New Amsterdam, where its five boroughs form a familiar cityscape in the Independent and United States of America. Every race, every species co-mingle here with a tolerant surface of live and let live. At least, until you cross the wrong person. Rubbing someone's fur the wrong way might get you killed.

In these six stories, you'll explore different stories of love and violence across different decades of alternate furry history.

Prohibition: The world is full of conspiracies, syndicates, and crackpot cults. Cops have to be tough. Shepard is as hard headed and as hard hearted as they come. He has just one soft spot, an impossible love for Lynne Black. When Lynne calls to say her youngest boy was kidnapped, he drops everything to get the boy back. The boy that should have been his.

PostWar: Brooklyn Blackie was scarred by the things he saw in the war, including the death camps of Reptiles. It haunts him and he buries that pain in sex and violence with both genders of any species willing to lift a tail for him. He's bisexual in a time when it doesn't even have a name... and he's not even a very good detective, but he's never let that stop him before.

The Outrageous Eighties: Rap stars like St. George and Dr. Ice, are beginning to make millions in record deals... and if they don't kill each other, it might be the start of a new dynasty.

Title: Groupie
Series: (Rock-Hard Beautiful Book 1)
Author(s): C.M. Stunich
Length: 394 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Rock Stars / Reverse Harem / Bromance / Buy a Case of Tissues / Dudes Supporting Dudes /

Notes: There has been a lot of chatter about this and 'the feels' (which usually mean crocodile tears and ugly crying... and oh, look at the blurb. It has an ugly cry warning tag), which usually isn't my thing but every once in a while I'm game.

Blurb: WARNING: This book has one girl and five bad boy rockstars. She owns them all--heart, body and soul. Don't read it unless you like to ugly cry...and also unless you like threesomes, foursomes...and moresomes.

“Can one of these five rockstars fill the hole in my heart? Or will I stay broken forever?”

Young, dumb, and broke.

That's what started everything. With five dollars in her pocket, and everything she owns stuffed in the back of her car, Lilith Goode's life is over. Done. Destroyed.

Ten words. One text. That's what it took to change the whole world.

A crumpled concert ticket. A chance encounter. That's what it takes to start all over again.

Five rockstars. One girl. Six dark hearts, six withered souls.
But can one broken person really put another back together again?
And is a cross-country tour the place to do it?

Groupie, Book #1 in the Rock-Hard Beautiful Trilogy
a New Adult Erotic Rocker Romance from International Bestselling Author C.M. Stunich

***GROUPIE is a 130,000 word novel about heartache, love, grief, and the beauty of sex. It contains rockstars, concerts, young love, deep hurt, broken pasts, group sex, one beautiful girl who falls in love with five guys and five guys who fall in love with one beautiful girl. This is a MMMFMM book with a STRONG focus on the woman (although the men aren't scared of each other's bodies) aka a reverse harem novel (one woman, five guys). It has a happy ending, NO cliff-hanger, and is the first book in a trilogy.

Title: Made to Serve a King

Notes:

Blurb: King Felor has sentenced all the fae to death. Only King Stephan’s army stands in his way.

Keeping his pointy ears hidden under scruffy blond locks has kept Blythe alive, but now he’s been discovered and sentenced to death. He struggles to escape Felor’s dungeons unaware of the attacking troops outside the wall, and his freedom is brief when he falls into enemy hands.
