Why haven't I finished yet? #Darksoul #amwriting #tiredfingers

The posting for I've been doing every weekend about interesting book finds isn't ready. Sorry! I'll have it up in a couple of days. The posts are a bit labor intensive and I just haven't had the time to do anything other than write down the titles.

What's the delay?

I've been pushing all week to have Darksoul completed by the end of the month. Oh, look! Today is the last day of the month and I'm so close to being finished--but not quite. I have the final reveal scene and the wrap up and then the last chapter. So I'm "thinking" 10k, at least I hope so.

Then I have to type everything up. I used to be really discontent with the process--hand write the chapter then type it up--until I realized that everything was fine because as I'm typing I'm revising and editing.

The book will come in probably around 110-120k. So far the book is at 86k and I have two more notebooks to type up, so 120k isn't too far off. That makes Darksoul the longest novel I've written so far. I have to remind myself of that fact because at least once a week I'm wondering, "Why in the hell aren't I finished yet?"

Some of the reason for the delay is because Kenzie Kade and I are passing back and forth a WIP (our book is so fucking cool, you guys, but I can't give any spoilers) so I haven't been exclusively working on Darksoul all of this time.

Still... I wanted to be finished in October and it looks like I'm going to run over by a day or two. So I'm headed back to the kitchen for something to eat since I've only had a yogurt this morning and grab another cup of coffee.

Wish me luck!!

Thank you for stopping by and reading!!
