And now I’d like to introduce myself…

My name is Mathilde Watson and I grew up in Eastern North Carolina, where I have lived the majority of my life. I was raised on a farm where the cows, horses, goats, sheep, chickens, geese, peacocks and turkeys were pets rather than livestock. It was a great way to grow up. I was kid number five out of six, so the work got divided up nicely.

I now live in Indiana where it is FREEZING. I’m not really sure how that happened…

One of my favorite things to do as a kid was read. Probably no surprise there! I read everything and I loved most of it. I love how it feels to watch a movie in my mind directed by words on a page.

I became a writer because I wanted to see if I could reverse the process—take the movies my own mind conjures up and put them down in words.

And it seems to have worked out pretty well for me. J

I stumbled upon gay romance entirely by accident.

I bought the Jason Bourne trilogy for my kindle and I went browsing through the list of titles frequently purchased by people who bought those book—and one of the books in that list was ZERO AT THE BONE by Jane Seville.

I got it, read it, loved it and went looking for more. Since then I haven’t looked back.

My first attempt at writing a gay romance of my own was a contemporary May/December romance. I have since tried my hand at paranormal shifter stories, military stories, and a few bittersweet short stories.
