What is on the Reading Radar #WishList #TBR

What am I doing? Working on Bespoken (that is going to a theme for the next several weeks.) I worked a little bit on Constant and have gotten nowhere on the next Valespian Pact flash fiction. For the last part, I will probably change the MC of the flash fiction from Ariafella to Axis. Let's see if that frees up my mind.

I have a couple of books on my reading wish list...

Title: Bomosexual
Series:
Author(s): Daryl Banner
Length: 668 pages
Publisher:

Genre: Romance / Gay / Contemporary / Friends to Lovers /

Note: So I read this yesterday and really liked it. It's sweet and funny with low angst. I would definitely reread it. It made me happy.

Blurb: Stefan Baker, my former best friend and bro, is straight, gorgeous, and cocky as hell. And he's about to ruin my life.

With his backwards cap, lopsided grin, and ripped bod gifted from the gods, he struts around town like he owns it.

But I won’t let him own me, no matter how hot he's gotten over the past eight years since he went off to become a pro baseball player in the major leagues - and since we had our brutal falling out and everything fell apart.

When a hard night lands him at my front doorstep - desperately in need of a place to stay - I get one look into those fierce blue eyes of his ... and realize our story is far from over.

My former "bro" and I are about to define a whole new term for the steamy, beautiful mess that's destined to happen between the two of us.

* This is a stand-alone, angsty, slow-burn M/M romance with a guaranteed HEA and no cheating.

Note: So this series has become a personal quest of mine. It was on a GR list for best Fantasy with Gay MC. It's out of print and the publisher isn't offering any of them except this one on kindle (and the price! OMG) I even checked with my library and they only had the last two books in the series. So I've been searching second hand stores for them and finally purchased all four... So now, I have to read them since I went through all that to get them. LOL

Title: Guardian of Magic
Series:
Author(s): Dominique Frost
Length: 115 pages
Publisher: LooseId

Genre: Romance / Gay / Paranormal / Magic / Urban Fantasy /

Note:

Blurb: When a god falls in love with a mortal, the entire world begins to change.

Guardian of Magic is a passionate paranormal romance with a dash of magic.

Brady is a witch without a familiar, which means that he can’t get a witchery license to practice magic professionally. Just when he’s about to give up on his dream job, he finally does get a familiar, but the little black cat that chooses him is far more than it appears.

Brady’s ordinary-seeming familiar is in fact a god in disguise, an ancient guardian of magic named Malachai who has been watching Brady for a long time...and is determined to make Brady his.

When Malachai asks Brady to become his eternal companion, Brady must decide between the freedom of being a mortal or the burden of immortality. Will immortality be worth it for a love that will last forever?

Title: Dragon's Gift
Series: (The Dragon's Gift Trilogy Book 1)
Author(s): Jasmine Walt, May Sage
Length:  pages
Publisher: Dynamo Press (October 6, 2017)

Genre: Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance

Note: There's a story behind this purchase. WTF is Reverse Harem? I followed a conversation on FB last week and I still don't know what it is. Are the guys sex slaves? If they are tied to her against their will? (then it's not a romance.) Are all three or four intimate with each other and not just the female MC, making the romance equal among all parties? Is this just another way of saying menage because for some reason they don't want to have it labeled as menage or bisexual or poly? Posh! So I decided that I would find out what Reverse Harem meant and bought a couple of different titles, this being one of them.

Blurb: Three dragons. One woman. A reverse harem fantasy that will leave you breathless and begging for more...

Dareena Sellis is a nobody. The orphaned daughter of a no-name farmer, she toils away as a serving girl at Hallowdale Inn, her only marriage prospects either shipping off to war, or pawing at her skirts with their grubby, gnarled hands.

But fate takes a strange turn the day a dragon huntress comes to town. Suddenly, Dareena is swept off to Dragon’s Keep, trading in her raggedy dresses for silken gowns, her closet-sized room for feather pillows and spacious gardens, and her miserable suitor for three very handsome, very virile dragon princes.

For Dareena is not a nobody. She is the Dragon’s Gift—the one woman chosen by the gods every century to bear children for the future king of Dragonfell.

Despite her pre-ordained path, Dareena’s fate is far from certain. The crown has not given birth to more than one son in nearly a thousand years, and the line of succession is far from clear. Neither of the princes are willing to cede Dareena to the other, and yet she must choose. For the enemy is knocking on Dragonfell’s door, and Dareena’s decision could either mean the kingdom’s salvation…

…or annihilation.

Don’t deny yourself the pleasure of this scorching hot reverse harem romance. Scroll up and start reading today!

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a TRUE reverse harem romance, NOT a love triangle. Expect to see danger, intrigue, hot sex, strong language, and fire-breathing dragons between the pages of this book. For 18+ readers. You have been warned!

Title: The Contestant
Series: The Contestant, 1
Author(s): Myra Song
Length: 139 pages
Publisher: Now and Wren Publishing (August 10, 2016)

Genre: Romance / Bisexual / MMF / Contemporary /

Note: This was not labeled as reverse harem but straight up MMF Romance. There are three books in this series.

Blurb: Mallory

I'm one girl. A girl who likes to pretend that she's someone else. Who likes to hide from a world who won't let her.

I'm one celebrity. I won a show by losing a bunch of weight. If I'd known the price of winning, I never would have played. Now my body, which has regained some of its former curves, is under a microscope. It feels like my identity is tied solely to the number on a scale.

It was one wrong number. I pretended to be someone I'm not and now? Now I'm in deep with two guys. Deep in lust and deep in trouble.

Jacob and Ares

We're two guys. Two fabulously rich, self-made friends.

We share a dark past. We share an apartment now, and a business we've put our backs and hearts into. We're going to share a future. When we see Mallory, with her vibrant red hair and delicious, curvy body, everything we have is at risk. Can we share a woman?

Two personalities. Jacob is a storm, dark and churning. He's a powderkeg, ready to blow. Ares is relaxed, golden like the summer sun. Cross him? He'll freeze you out. Two minds at odds, yet forever linked.

Three lives thrown together. Three mouths greedily seeking passion. Six hands that can't get enough. Twenty toes peeking out from covers. A hundred reasons why this is a bad idea.

Newly single and not looking for anything serious, Colin is intrigued by Jack’s offer of a physical affair with no strings attached. Becoming friends wasn’t part of the plan, but as accidents go, this one’s pretty great.

Peter Mason is Jack’s identical twin. In a long-term relationship himself, Peter tells no one that he’s falling for his brother’s newest favorite, even as the secret creates tension with his girlfriend.

When Peter’s relationship falls apart, he seduces Colin, fully expecting Jack to forgive his transgression. But Jack is keeping secrets too—he hasn't told even Colin that he’s fallen in love. Suddenly the twins are feuding, and Colin is caught in the middle, blindsided by the revelation that he doesn’t want to choose between them.

Now all three must find a way to share, or they’ll tear each other apart.

    1. Since I finished Bromosexual yesterday, I've been recommending it. REALLY enjoyed it. Great character voices. I'm working on the second one listed, The Stone. I'm also thinking about rereading Mate of Tyger. I should be going to the grocery store. :)
