Holiday Reading #3 #holiday #reading

Welcome to the third of the five posts for this years holiday reading!

These aren't in any particular order and are across all genres and orientations. Enjoy!

Title: The Mistletoe Promise

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Non-Shifter / Omegaverse /

Notes:

Blurb: One Kiss. One Promise. The Magic of Christmas.

Omega Everett is ready to be a father. He has a decent job, a nice place to live, and so much love to give. With no delusions of finding the perfect alpha and living happily ever after, he decides to take matters into his own hand—or test tube, anyway—with the help of a fertility clinic. On the day he finally gets the amazing news he's going to be a father, the rest of his world collapses as his company shuts down.

Everett’s life quickly turns around as he moves to a new city with an amazing new job just as the holiday season begins. Determined to maintain his family’s tradition of going out to eat on Christmas Eve, he heads to a place recommended by his phone, only to find himself arguing with the maître d over getting a table for one.

Alpha Graham’s dating life had somehow been reduced to blind dates set up by his brother, of all people. When his Christmas Eve date cancels at the last minute, he decides to make the most of it, grabbing a drink at the bar of the up-and-coming restaurant—at least until he sees a hot omega being turned away. He can’t let the omega eat alone on Christmas Eve, so he steps in.

Sparks fly between the two and the evening ends with a kiss under the mistletoe, sealing their promise to meet again in a year’s time, when both men might be in a better place to start something more than a hook-up.

The magic of Christmas is sealed with a mistletoe kiss leads the men on a journey to find themselves and their happily ever after.

Promise Under the Mistletoe is a super-Hallmarky-sweet with-knotty-heat non-shifter Mpreg Christmas Romance complete with a sweet baby, mistletoe, and a trip to see Santa.

Title: The Northstar: A Christmas Novella (Accidental Roots)

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: The holiday season can’t be over soon enough for John Hall. His ex-boyfriend emptied the bank accounts and ran off with his personal trainer months earlier leaving John unable to pay his creditors. Now he’s forced to close the independent movie theater he runs, a bad end to a bad year. Gay, single and closer to fifty than forty, John doesn’t see a lot of hope in his future. In the dark of night he wonders if staying afloat is worth the effort.

Chance Allsop made a promise to his dying mother he hopes he doesn’t regret. Ten months after her death he’s finally in Skagit Washington, visiting the old movie theater where his parents met and fell in love decades ago. The whole thing seems like a lark until he lays eyes on the handsome owner. With his mother’s spirit at his back Chance fully intends to win John Hall’s heart.

Title: Family in a Snowstorm

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Bisexual /

Notes: This says it is (Snow Globes Book 2) thought it isn't listed as such, I think the first book is last year's holiday story, Home in a Snowstorm.

Blurb: Last Christmas, Daniel Wu found a place to call home with Jeff and his adopted daughter Abby. A year later, they confirm his place in their family with a surprising and warm gift. However, when Abby’s biological father returns making demands, Daniel’s happiness is threatened.

With the worsening weather, a much more urgent problem arises when Abby goes missing. Will Daniel and Jeff be able to find her before the storm sets in, and will they manage to keep their small family intact?

Title: The Twelfth Date

Genre: Romance / Comedy? / Contemporary / Gay

Notes:

Blurb: Friends with benefits? Best Christmas present ever.

Nicky Masters is a hot mess and he knows it. After all, every boyfriend he’s ever had has told him so, and—since they usually follow it up with some version of, “too much work, not worth the effort”—avoiding boyfriends altogether sounds just about perfect. The only problem? The part about Nicky secretly yearning for things like true love and a happily ever after... something that scoring a job at bLoved, the gay dating app that promises to help find exactly that, seems perfectly suited for.

So far, even with his in at bLoved, Nicky still hasn’t managed to find what he’s looking for, but what he has found is almost better: Felix Ramirez, the hot AF new hire with the sexy smile who—for some reason Nicky still can’t figure out—actually said yes when Nicky volunteered as tribute to be Felix’s new friend (with benefits!).

Perfect, right? Just as long as Nicky doesn’t go and do something stupid, like fall for him...

If there’s one thing Felix “the Ram” Ramirez knows, it’s how to be thankful for what he’s got. Pushing for more is a bad idea—something he learned the hard way when doing exactly that caused him a career-ending injury that cut his Major League Baseball career short. Ever since then, he’s decided it’s best to just roll with whatever life hands him, and when it hands him Nicky Masters, life starts to look pretty damn good again.

Well… except for the part about Nicky not being interested in anything more than a friends-with-benefits arrangement. Still, if that’s all that’s on the table, Felix will take it, because the last thing he wants to do is scare Nicky away by pushing for more. At least, until Christmas rolls around and—thanks to bLoved’s Twelve Dates of Christmas promotion—Felix realizes that with a little holiday magic, he just might have a chance at getting everything he wants this year…

The Twelfth Date is a gay romance novel of approximately 79,000 words that contains a boner from New Orleans, an alien viral plague** which brings out Someone’s Inner Drama Queen (spoiler: S.I.D.Q. wasn’t actually doing that good a job of hiding), an overworked Bedazzler, approximately 5,367,542 air miles, lots of prayers to the God of C*ck, parentheticals (soooooo many parentheticals… see previous spoiler re: Someone’s Inner Drama Queen), and the kind of love that makes it feel like Christmas all year long.

Every Stella Starling romance takes place in the same interconnected, contemporary world. The Twelfth Date is a standalone book with cameos from other Stella Starling stories and it (mostly) takes place during the Christmas season of the same year as another #boyfriendsbybLoved book, The Boyfriend Game.

**Please note that no actual aliens were harmed in the writing of this book. While they may exist Somewhere Out There, aliens do not, in fact, exist in the universe of Stella Starling. The Twelfth Date is a contemporary romance set in the real-ish world. If you’re looking for something with little green men—or with less hyperbole and exaggeration—then this may not be the book for you.

Title: The Magician's Angel

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Mystery / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: Vaudeville stage magician Christopher Fiend lives for the spotlight. His chance at big time stardom awaits him in Chicago, the next stop on the circuit after the little town of Twelfth Junction.

Edward Smith wants nothing to do with his family's theater. Until Christopher catches his eye on opening night, then treats him to a very special performance during intermission.

When a dead body turns up in the middle of Christopher’s act, suspicion immediately falls on him. If Christopher and Edward can’t work together to clear his name, Christopher won’t make it to Chicago in time. Edward knows he shouldn’t get attached to a man who will be gone in two days, but his heart—and a very special angel—have other ideas.

The Christmas Angel series of holiday romances follow the travels of an angel ornament through the decades as she inspires (and sometimes nudges) lonely men to find their Happily Ever After. The Magician’s Angel is the third in series, which can be read in any order.

Title: Celebrations in the Season of Long Nights: Escape from the Holidays

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Gay

Notes:

Blurb: Having escaped his abusive family by winning a scholarship to college, Shahin promised himself he would never go back. So when his plans for winter break fall through and he’s left homeless for a month, he decides he’d rather camp in the park than go home. But he doesn’t realize it's the solstice, the longest night of the year, the start of the season when the supernatural is at its strongest.

Yima is a demon-hunter, a duty passed down through his family. He doesn’t resent it, but it does get lonely, especially since his work is at its most difficult and dangerous when everyone else is celebrating with family. After he rescues Shahin from an demon attack and finds that he has nowhere safe to stay, he takes him back to his flat. He just arrived in town and hasn’t even gotten the electricity turned on, leaving the two men with little to do but talk.

It isn’t a surprise when they end up in bed, though what at first feels like a temporary comfort grows over days spent together into a deeper bond. Nomadic Yima has to find a way to stay without demons coming after his lover, and Shahin has to decide whether he can risk his heart loving a man who constantly puts his life in danger.

Title: Old Christmas Magic

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Gay

Notes:

Blurb: Drew McLean has had a run of bad luck and it’s dampened his Christmas spirit. But the last thing he expects to find for the holiday is a demon.

While strolling in the late-night snow, Drew hears screeching tires and a sad scene is awaits him around the corner. A man kneels beside a dog hit by a car, distraught and broken.

The man is Artem, a demon sent to find a pure soul. Drew matches that description to a T. The problem is Artem’s never really been good at the demon gig.

Will a little Christmas magic help them both find what they’re looking for?

Title: The Holiday Agenda

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: Twenty-year-old Jimmy Abbott has never had a good birthday. Born on Christmas Day, he’s used to being overshadowed by the holiday season. With no family, no friends, and a crappy job as an in-store Santa at MerryMart, this is shaping up to be just another in a series of terrible Decembers.

Then he runs into Cole again: a confident and charismatic barista at the local LGBT+ coffeehouse. Cole is the opposite of Jimmy. He has wonderful friends, a supportive family, and he’s teeming with holiday cheer.

Jimmy and Cole haven’t seen each other since a series of explosive, no-strings-attached hookups last year. It was Cole's fault —when he realised his feelings for Jimmy were more than a booty-call could satisfy, he ran. But the moment he sits on Santa’s lap, it’s clear those feelings never left. This time, he won’t run.

As the two men form a deeper connection, Cole begins to learn how lonely this time of year can be for people without his privilege — people like Jimmy. Determined to give Jimmy a good birthday for once, Cole introduces Jimmy to his world, where he is welcomed with open arms by Cole’s friends at the coffeehouse. Their agenda: this year, Jimmy is going to have a family.

It's beginning to look a lot like Jimmymas.

The Holiday Agenda is a super-cheesy found family MM romance novella featuring snow-covered kisses, gingerbread lattes, and the power of love and friendship during tough times. While it is a part of the Agenda series and features the coffeehouse, it can be read as a holiday standalone.

Title: Miracle on Three King's Day

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: Levi’s family knows he needs to find a way out of his funk and be a part of the world again. His brother, Jesse, invites Levi to join him in sunny Spain for the holidays, but a delay at the airport finds Levi at Jesse’s home while his brother is stranded in Scotland. Luckily Alejandro—Alex—is on hand with a key, a friendly smile, and a willingness to keep Levi company. He might even manage to draw Levi out of his shell for some mutual flirting.

Levi surprises himself when he accepts an invitation to spend New Year’s Eve with Alex at Alex’s café, but is he ready for more when it means jumping back into life feetfirst? Besides, with an ocean between them and Alex hiding a part of his life that Levi isn’t sure he can handle, they’ll need their own Three Kings’ Day miracle to stay together.

Title: Love Blooms

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: Nico Hamurişi is the one and only son of Santa Claus. All his life, Nico has known he’s expected to fall in love and find lifelong commitment by the Christmas of his thirtieth year—like every other heir before him. But knowing and accepting are vastly different things, and as the final countdown begins, Nico has yet to embrace his fate. His once great enthusiasm for eventually becoming Santa has been dimmed by uncertainty over how the Santa Line will be affected when he marries a man.

With only a year left, will Nico have time to find love and commitment all while learning how magic will transform the family line to accommodate who he is and who he loves?

Title: Christmas Angel

Genre: Romance / Historical / Magical? / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: When John Trent, a dedicated member of the new Bow Street Runners, finds an exquisite carved angel floating in the Thames, he can’t stop thinking about it. He tracks down its creator, a sad and quiet young sculptor. But neither the angel nor the sculptor is done with John just yet. The blasted angel refuses to leave him be, behaving not at all like an inanimate object should.

Alec Allston is resigned to the fact that his love will ever be a river that flows out and never flows in. All he wanted to do was create a special gift so that a small part of himself could be with his unattainable and noble beloved, always. But when the gift keeps showing back up at his shop in the hands of a windblown and rugged thief-taker, Alec will need to reconsider his conviction that love is destined to remain an ethereal ideal.

Title: Midnight Angel

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Magical Realism? / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: Dinner is overcooked. The guests haven’t arrived.

Luke is sitting alone at his dining table on New Year’s Eve. He was hoping to romance Nathan, one of the people he invited for this intimate evening meal.

As midnight draws closer, it seems an angel, who has magically appeared in Luke’s apartment, is the only person to drink champagne and watch the fireworks with.

But this angel has other ideas. He’s about to grant Luke the New Year’s Eve party he thought he wanted.

Title: Little X: (A Tinsel and Spruce Needles Romance Book 2)

Genre: Romance / Hisotircal / Sweden / Lesbian /

Notes: Though it is not listed as such, I think Candlelight Kisses is the first book in this series. It appears that Little X can standalone.

With her brothers and parents underfoot and a million dishes to cook, it's hard enough for Elena to plan her double surprise for Cora, even harder when she has to corral her wayward brothers into it--but when Cora's own surprise plans tangle with Elena's, it may be impossible to tie up the holiday in a neat little bow.

Notes:

In desperation, he returns to his humiliating old job as an elf at the Santa's Village in his hometown's dying mall. The Santa on the job is an unexpectedly sexy lumberjack, twice Hunter's size and age. He makes Hunter feel very naughty—too bad he's grumpy and intimidating.

But he can’t refuse a loyal friend’s plea for help and finds himself filling in as Santa at the local mall. Despite Nick's attempt to stay aloof, the beautiful, anxious young man playing elf brings out his long-dormant daddy instincts.

When a surprise blizzard traps them alone in Nick’s isolated forest home, their attraction burns even brighter. Will they surrender to the sizzling connection between them and find the release and comfort they crave?

Santa Daddy is a holiday gay romance from Keira Andrews featuring an age gap, steamy m/m first times, daddy role-playing and light spanking, Christmas romance feels, and of course a happy ending.

Title: Omega Wintertide: A Wolves in the World Holiday Story

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Alpha & Omega / Shifters / Gay /

Notes: This is connected to the Omega Required and Omega Defiant books.

Blurb: Three omegas are home for the holidays with the Niemi pack, and every old tradition is new again with these omegas in the mix!

Ethan is getting his first taste of living with an outsider werewolf pack and celebrating the Winter Solstice. He's still finding his place among them--and with himself--and that would be challenge enough, but another surprise is waiting for him at the party...

Casey is introducing his brand new mate (and soon-to-be co-parent!) to the Christmas traditions of the Niemi pack. It's a time for family, but Casey and Adam are still figuring out just what family means when it comes to the two of them...

Omega Wintertide is a collection of three connected holiday stories, meant to be read after Omega Required and Omega Defiant!

Title: All I want for Christmas... is my sister's Boyfriend

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: Some people want their two front teeth or a hippopotamus for Christmas. Not me. That would be too clichéd.

Then again, I never thought I’d stoop to sitting on Santa’s lap and asking him to bring me a boyfriend, either. In my defense, though, the man of my dreams had just knocked me into a store display ten minutes prior, so I wasn’t exactly thinking straight.

Hah, but when did I ever.

I never thought I’d see Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome again, but it looked like fate—or Santa—had other plans when I ran into him the following night. Seemed like I might be getting my Christmas wish after all, right? Right.

So imagine my surprise when I showed up at my parents’ house for the holidays, only to find out that my sister had asked Santa for the exact same thing I did—and he’d delivered early.

Yep, my sister scored herself a handsome new boyfriend, and he’s absolutely perfect. He’s charming, my parents love him, and even Lucifer the demon cat tolerates him.

Oh, did I mention he also happens to be my dream guy? The one who’s supposed to be under my tree?

Yeah. Merry freakin’ Christmas to me. Someone pass the hot buttered rum.

This is a fun, feel-good MM Christmas novella.

Title: Stay Awhile: Escape from the Holidays

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Asexual

Notes:

Blurb:

The holidays are usually a whirlwind of busy activity for Anson—decorating, baking for friends—but this year, his heart isn't in it. He'd hoped coming out to Daly as asexual would be the right thing to do. Since then, he hasn't heard a word from the handsome photographer.

Now Daly's suddenly shown up at his front door, asking Anson to trust him, to come with him. He doesn't dare hope in case this is just another build up to a bigger heartbreak.

Title: Foxy Boxing Day

Genre: Romance / Paranoramal / Werewolf / Shifter / Lesbian /

Notes:

Blurb:

After a sickness keeps a young werewolf ill through Christmas, she is excited to go to her Pack’s Boxing Day party.

With the party in full swing, she meets a punky fox shifter who pushes all of her buttons in just the right way, and the holidays become a lot more exciting.

Title: Hadash Aviv

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: New beginnings come in many different forms. Aviv's started with a bomb in Gaza and a friendly American soldier who turned his life around. But pomegranate trees only bloom in the spring and aviv is a long way off. Can a chance meeting at a new year's party finally bring Aviv's new beginning into flower?

Title: Holiday Hijinks: Hounds of the Hunt, 2

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Hellhounds / Gay /

Notes: releases December 26th

Blurb: This year the holidays seem to be rubbing Archie the wrong way. He can't stand that damn happy music blasting in the stores and all over the radio. The decorations went up far too early—and don't even get Archie started on how cheery everyone is.

Seeing the holidays cause Archie to slip back into a depression, Adze decides to take matters into his own hands. The one thing his mate has always wanted is to see the Tudor houses in England. Besides, it’s the perfect time to escape the humdrum heat in Melbourne. Adze can’t think of anything better than curling up in front of a roaring fire with his mate while snow falls outside.

Of course, life would never be that easy. Baby demon stowaways and Christmas Krampuses hell-bent on doing good leave the pair wondering just where things went wrong.

Title: Don't Underestimate Me (Just Don't Book 2)

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Gay /

Notes: I'm not sure this can be read as a standalone...

Blurb: The best first kiss ever should lead up to a wonderful holiday season. But what if it only heralds heartbreak?

After a whole decade of pining over his brother’s husband, Van finally gets a chance to kiss him. With Parker’s taste still in his heart, Van’s outlook on his romantic future is suddenly brighter. Blurb: Frosty former friends get a steamy second chance in this Christmas gay romance!

Can true love warm his frozen heart?

When Casey Stevens went away to college four years ago, he ghosted on his straight best friend, Joel Vreeland. He hoped time and distance would lessen the unrequited affection he felt, but all it did was make him miss Joel more. Home for the holidays, Casey hopes they might find a way to be friends again. But Joel’s frosty reception reminds Casey of just how hard he had to fight to be Joel’s friend in the first place. It’s going to take a Christmas miracle to get past that cool façade again.

Joel isn’t as straight as Casey believes, and his years of pining for Casey have left him hurting and alone, caring for his abusive father and struggling to get by. Unable to trust anyone except his rescue dog—and with no reason to believe Casey is interested in him for more than a holiday fling—Joel’s icy heart might shatter before it can thaw.

Can Casey and Joel’s love overcome mistrust, parental rejection, class differences, and four long years apart? Mr. Frosty Pants is a stand-alone, Christmas gay romance by Leta Blake featuring a virgin hero, childhood friends-to-lovers, second chance romance, and steamy mm first times.

Title: Better not Pout

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: One hard-nosed military police officer.

One overly enthusiastic elf.

One poorly timed snowstorm.

Is it a recipe for disaster? Or a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for holiday romance?

Teddy MacNally loves Christmas and everything that goes along with it. When he plays an elf for his charity’s events, he never expects to be paired with a Scrooge masquerading as Santa Claus. His new mission: make the holiday-hating soldier believe he was born to say ho-ho-ho.

Sergeant Major Nicholas Nowicki doesn’t do Santa, but he’s army to his blood. When his CO asks an unusual favor, Nick of course obliges. The elf to his Kris Kringle? Tempting. Too tempting—Nick’s only in town for another month, and Teddy’s too young, too cheerful and too nice for a one-night stand.

The slow, sexy make-out sessions while Teddy and Nick are alone and snowbound, though, feel like anything but a quick hookup. As a stress-free holiday fling turns into Christmas all year round, Teddy can’t imagine his life without Nick. And Nick’s days on the base may be coming to a close, but he doesn’t plan on leaving anything, or anyone, behind.

What's on the Reading Radar: Holiday Edition #1 #holiday #reading

Starting with today's Reading Radar, I will have five post across this coming week about new release holiday reads. Last year I was looking only for fantasy/sci-fi/paranormal holiday stories because that is what I like to read. This year I have switched it up a bit. I went hunting for holiday stories, originally for today only. I put an inquiry on my facebook wall but I also checked out retailers. I doubt that I got them all, but since I can fill five post with about 20 per post, I think I picked up a lot.

A small change to the layout is an abbreviation of what I usually do with only the Title with link, Genre, Notes, and Blurb.  There are just so many and I wanted to save myself for the work. :D This post will include the authors who gave me a link on my facebook shout-out. Enjoy!

Title: A Very Vampire Christmas

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Gay

Notes: Tags: Christmas, humor, romance writer, vampire, Wild West
Blurb: Stuck for ideas on what to get his wealthy, blind, vampire lover for Christmas, Kevin comes up with the idea of recovering Danton’s long-lost but much-favored glass eyes from their home in a Wild West museum. But one touch of the eyes and Kevin is swept by his developing clairvoyant powers into a psychic nightmare of the old Wild West the eyes ‘witnessed’ while still in Danton’s head. The journey reveals a gunslinger Sheriff Danton, brings to light the lingering threat of Danton’s violent vampire ex-lover, and ultimately seals a new bond between Kevin and Danton in a Christmas to remember.

Nolan knows just the man for the job.

Skylar, who owns a karate studio in St. Augustine, can’t get his one-night stand out of his mind. When he runs into Nolan at his gallery he is more than happy to volunteer his services as arm candy. Out-and-proud himself with his striking blue/green hair, Skylar is all in. Their adventure means a fancy salon, family drama, lots of sex, a ninja hippo, and palm trees lit up in a very suggestive way. By the end of it, what started as a hookup might become much more.

Title: Dylan the Bad Boy Reindeer & His Virtuous Mate (Willy the Kinky Elf & His Bad-Ass Reindeer Book 5)

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Gay /

Notes: When I grabbed this I didn't realize that it was a part of a series. It starts with Willy the Kinky Elf & His Bad-Ass Reindeer. I appears that the author puts one out every years since 2014.

Blurb: From the world of Willy the Kinky Elf & His Bad-Ass Reindeer.

The North Pole isn't exactly as it appears in fairy tales. It has the elves and Santa and his reindeer, but Santa and Mrs. Claus aren't the jolly couple the world believes them to be. Far from it, actually. The reindeer are all shape-shifters who transform into gorgeous beings in human form and are respected by all.

Reindeer Dylan is the ultimate bad boy - wearing leather, riding a motorcycle, having sex anytime he wants. Forced to run away as a teen, he’s had to fight for survival. Now twenty-five, Dylan lives in Mistletoe Hill, the one place in the North Pole that's not eggnog and sugar cookies.

When Santa's wife promises to share information about Dylan's long-missing mother, he reluctantly escorts her to the annual Christmas party to make Santa jealous. What he doesn't expect is to see a reindeer who'll have him wanting something he's never wanted before. Scared of what he's feeling, he leaves, not even knowing the reindeer's name.

Cole Crawford is one of the North Pole's most respected citizens. Not one for random hookups, when he locks eyes with Mrs. Claus' date at the party, he's convinced he's found his mate. But then the reindeer bolts, leaving Cole wondering if he'll ever see him again.

When Mrs. Claus breaks her promise, Dylan contacts the Chief Reindeer and his elf for help locating his mother. Unfortunately, there are powerful people who'll stop at nothing to ensure that certain secrets stay buried. Elf Willy just wants to play matchmaker and drink his Peppermint Whiskey. After witnessing the look between Dylan and Cole last Christmas, he makes it his elfly duty to bring them together.

Title: A Season of New Beginnings

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: Joshua just wants to be alone. Happy holidays be damned; the last place he wants to be is at a Christmas Eve party surrounded by overly jolly friends. After a breakup with his boyfriend, Clay, he’s having a hard time watching other people be merry when all he wants is to drown himself in booze.

If it wasn’t for a promise to two dear friends, he’d have been home on his couch watching the least festive thing possible. Instead, he’s got to deal with flamboyant Desi flirting up a storm with him. Only Desi has a past too, and his own pain, as well as a bit of unsolicited advice for Joshua that could turn his bleak night into a bright future.

Title: The Holiday Spirit

Genre: Romance / Fantasy / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: It’s hard being the PA for the Holiday Spirit.

Julian is more dedicated than most, and knows the job inside and out. But that doesn’t mean he’ll still have a job when the new Holiday Spirit is elected. It also doesn't mean he’s immune to the *cough* charms of the office, but that's a whole other problem.

Title: Slow Summer Heat

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Over 40 / Aussie Christmas / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: Geoffrey Saxon is in his forties, a bit plump, a lot fuzzy, and rather boring in bed—and thanks to a very public breakup, everyone in his street knows it. However, what they don’t know is that Geoffrey sometimes watches his hot young neighbor, Vaughn, in the pool. Vaughn has invited Geoffrey to join his pool parties, but Geoffrey knows it’s only pity.

As if things can’t get worse, Geoffrey’s air conditioner breaks during a heat wave in Western Australia—and just before Christmas. In search of some relief, he camps out in his backyard, where he also has a prime view of Vaughn swimming… naked. When Geoffrey’s injured falling from his spying post, Vaughn comes to his rescue and Geoffrey doesn’t think he can be more horrified.

But he could be in for a sweet holiday surprise. Is he ready to take the dive?

Title: Sugar Cookies & Computer Code

Genre: Romance / Paranormal / Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: Tandy has never fit in with the others at the North Pole, whether it’s his size or love for computers. But he wants to contribute to the mission of making the world’s children happy. Every elf does. Taking time away from his baby — a new process for the Nice and Naughty lists — to do the yearly census on the Isle of Misfit Toys just doesn’t fit into his schedule.

It seemed like every time El turned around, there was another elf getting under foot for a census. Did the elves think that toys just disappeared from the Isle? And those that arrived were accounted for before they arrived. All El wanted at this point in his life was to become a baker at the North Pole. He’d had the love of a child already and Jack Frost did it hurt when he was no longer in his heart. Maybe if he avoided the elf this year, they’d just leave him to his cookies.

Can the magic of the holidays bring these two together? El and Tandy both need help healing and isn’t Christmas the season of miracles?

Title: Paradise Lodge

Genre: Romance / Contemporary / Rocks Bands / Pansexual / Bisexual /

Notes: Tags: friends to lovers, holidays, musicians, new adult, vacation

Blurb: Azariah Bell is a nervous wreck. He isn’t prepared to spend the final week of the year with his best friend, Ky O’Sullivan, lead vocalist for their pop rock band, Moving Insignia—especially after the fight he caused before they parted ways two weeks ago.

Afraid of not being taken seriously by Ky, Azariah was concerned about what confessing his feelings would do to their friendship, or the band. He tried to keep his emotions in check, but instead, he exploded in anger over some petty issue, and now he’s potentially lost Ky forever.

Ky is looking forward to the band’s annual writing retreat for a week of songwriting and recording at a secluded mountain resort. Spending Christmas with his family gave Ky time to reflect on how he’d handled Azariah’s epic meltdown. It wasn’t good, and Ky is determined to uncover the true nature of Azariah’s unusual behavior. They didn’t keep secrets from each other, or so he believed.

Expecting to see the rest of the band when they arrive by helicopter, Ky and Azariah are shocked to learn they are alone at a deserted lodge. When they discover they’ve been set up by their bandmates so they can “sort it out,” their choices are few. But it’s critical for them to resolve their problems if they have any hope of enjoying the new year together, let alone make that new album happen.

Title: A Holiday Tradition

Genre: Romance / Contemporary /  Gay /

Notes:

Blurb: Paul Carpenter has his life all planned out. Or at least his father does. The right school, the right degree, the right job. Paul is on track, until a bus accident has him sitting out a coveted internship, babysitting, or being babysat, by a grandfather he barely remembers during his holiday stay in a Florida RV park. His father’s reasoning? How much temptation can Paul find around a bunch of senior citizens playing bingo? There’ll be nothing to distract him from his studies.

It’s hard to muster his holiday spirit when Paul is used to snow and cold, not sun, surf, and plastic flamingos in Santa hats. But then Paul meets Kevin Lombardo, who offers to show him some new holiday traditions. Suddenly Paul’s fast track hits a curve.

A story from the Dreamspinner Press 2018 Advent Calendar "Warmest Wishes."

The encounter's supposed to be a one-night stand, one and done, no strings attached, but Leo's surprised when he wants more.

The problem is that Aaron comes with strings and complications—ones Leo isn't sure he wants to deal with on top of his own problems. Leo's going to have to reach deep if he wants more than superficial, but he's determined to try if the universe will just cooperate.
