Today is the the release day for Dreams of the Forgotten, book three of the Sumeria's Sons series! I'm so excited that the day is finally here! I wanted to do something special and found a couple pieces of jewelry that amazingly represents the series. (Pictures attached at the bottom.)

I've never had a blog party before and I didn't know what I should do. Hand out virtual wine or something?

Well, I was given a couple of really great ideas.

We are going to have a scavenger hunt to increase your chances to win one of the two great gifts I found for this event. I've posted pictures of the necklace and the ring that will be given away to two lucky winners.

Scavenger Hunt Rules: I have attached links to different websites below. Visit each weblink and come back here and leave a comment. For each comment you leave on the blog, after visiting the other websites, tell me where you were and what you liked. You can leave a comment now and that is one entry but you have the ability to enter five more times for a total of 6 entries. Entries will be accepted all weekend. The winners will be announced Monday, March 25th.

1) Leave a comment for this blog.  :)

2) Hearts On Fire Reviews interviewed Tristan and Ushna goes up tomorrow, Sunday, March 24th is up now. Make sure you go over and check them out and enter to win an e-book copy of Dreams of the Forgotten. Look HERE. (Make sure you come back and leave a comment about the interview.)

3) Over on the Silver blog you can find a full interview where I answered the longest list of questions to date. I even gave them a picture of me. (Hides eyes.) Please be gentle. I haven't had a professional photo taken in ages. Look HERE. (Make sure you come back and leave a comment about the interview.)

4) I have also started up a Pinterest profile where I created inspiration boards and other things that I like. Very addicting. You can see it HERE. (Make sure you come back and leave a comment about the picture board you liked the most.)

5) If you have Twitter, you can tweet the scavenger hunt and include my name for another entry. My twitter name is @LexiAnder1. (Make sure you come back and leave a comment that you tweeted me.)

6) And let's not forget my very naughty tumblr account. NSFW. There are a couple of innocent posts but seriously, it's naughty for the most part.  If you're brave, take a look HERE. (Make sure you come back and leave a comment about the tumblr blog.)

I would like to thank my brother, James, for recommending Karl Sanders for mood music. Karl is a member of the American Egyptian-themed technical death metal band Nile. He is 4th in the top 20 best death metal guitar players. Obviously from the video, he doesn't only produce death metal.  He has two albums that I listen to when I'm writing certain scenes in Sumeria's Sons, Suarian Meditations and Suarain Exorcisms. Most of the tracks are strictly instrumental and they can certainly set a tone. I hope you enjoy the sampling.

I was asked what inspired me to write Sumeria's Sons. The answer is sort of simple, Mates. I like reading about mates. I read several books back to back where one of the mates was a complete asshole and because of the mate bond, everything was okay. It was like saying, sure abuse me, I'll take it because we are fated to be together.

Seriously? No.

I wrote chapter one of Twin Flames in frustration and for those who have read the Twin Flames you know what happens. Then came all of the questions. Where did Tristan's people come from? Why do they have twin flames?

It was my husband who suggested that I look at the Epic of Gilgamesh. I love history but I was a Sumerian virgin and I gobbled up everything I could get my hands on.

But even then it didn't answer all of the whys. The way the world was set up, the world rules, Tristan would only be happy until he died and went back to the Earth.  What would happen when he was reincarnated? Tristan was severed from his Twin Flame. Would he wonder alone until the end of eternity? Was he damaged when his Flame was torn from Theo? Tristan is so desperately in love with Ushna, didn't he deserve more than a fleeting happiness?

Both Tristan and Ushna have an ancient and powerful enemy who has been working to destroy their people for a very long time. How will Tristan gain the power necessary to overcome and conquer the evil stalking him and everyone he loves? Can he even succeed in the task alone?

What about Ushna's Twin Flame, Brian? Where does he fit in the equation? Will Brian sacrifice himself and become a martyr so that Ushna and Tristan can find happiness? Or are the ancient teachings wrong? Have the Gods been making deals that affect the lives of their earth bound children?

So many questions and only four more books, including Dreams of the Forgotten, to go in the series to get them answered. Needless to say, it's going to get a little wild and steamy. There will be twist and turns and unexpected developments. I hope you continue to enjoy the ride.

Cheers!

    1. Glad you liked the interview. In the books they are so serious most of the time. Every once in a while it's nice to let your characters have some down time. :)

  18. Well Lexi, I was ment to be reading Twin Flames now (I like to re-read the others books before I read the new one) but while I was on your blog here entering the competition, because I love the necklace and your books, my kindle decided to update itself and now it is jammed!!!!! I have been in contact with amazon and I am waiting for them to phone back. This is the second time that a update had broken my kindle. It is just as well that I have an ipad or I would be in floods of tears right now at not being able to read about Tristan and Ushna,so I am off to contiune reading them now.

    1. Oh no!! I would die if my reader broke. I have a Kindle and iPad too, but it's is so nice just to have the kindle because the other can get heavy when reading. I hope it is fixed soon!

    2. My kindle has died! They are sending me a new one that will hopefully be here in 2 days. I must admit I did a bit of a rant at them because this is my 2nd touch kindle to die while being updated in the last year. Because the warranty starts from the orginial purchase date I was really concerned that the next time the new one updates it would die as well and then I would have NO kindle but they have assured me that if it happens while updating they will still send me a new one. I love my kindle but this has been really really annoying. On a really positive note I am nearly up Dreams of the Forgotten, I swear your books get better with every reading.

  19. I love this post. I love the idea of mates, who wouldn't? But the way you write flames...*sigh* God that prologue in Twin Flames kills me every time. It's heart-wrenching and completely perfect. I love it...I want more of this series all the time.

  20. You really have to ask what my favorite part of the Hearts on Fire interview is? Okay...I'm sure you know but it's the idea of Ushna in black see-through booty shorts...Gah!

  26. I love that you wrote Twin Flames because you were inspired by "mates". I also love the idea of having a mate, I think that's why I am so drawn to wolves. I love that they mate for life. I do have to say the music was interesting, not in a bad way, just different than what I'm used to listen to.

  27. The Hearts on Fire interview was great, I was laughing so hard I did the "snort", to which my son was looking at me like, wtf?, mom. I think women everywhere would love to see Ushna in black see-through shorts...Just sayin'

  28. The interview you did for Silver was great. My favorite part though, was when you rec. your acceptance letter. You were screaming all over the place and so happy you had to shove a copy of the letter under the bathroom door for your husband to read.
